mvs and normal difficulty the same?

In the games they give the option of easy, normal, hard and mvs for the difficulty setting. I would think mvs and normal would be the same in difficulty; but this can't be since they give both as a option. So any1 know which 1 is harder?

If I remember well, MVS is more difficult. On the arcade settings there are eight dificulty settings, the default level is 4, so the AES "MVS difficulty" is 4, and "normal difficulty" is 3.
