Buyer Beware. Here is a link to the original auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6115621925&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT

I got the game last night and played for abit, it got kinda garbled so I opened it to clean it. Was a boot. Link to the thread in tech about it:
http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100222

I sent him an email last night, here is what I sent:
"Hello,

I received bust-a-move today, packaging was great. However, this game is a
boot and in your auction you have it listed as an original cart. Not sure
if you were aware of this or not. I discovered it because when I was
playing for about 30 mins plus the text and the graphics became garbled and
I opened it to clean it.

I would like to return this to you and get a refund for the full amount or
exchange for it another copy.

Thank-you,
-s"

this was his response:
"the game was never opened and for the 1.5 years I've had it and I've never had garbled graphics for any of that time, second I have no way of knowing that you didn't just open the cart and swap out the boards, I mean I know the game worked flawlessly so this garbled text just sounds like a convient excuse for opening the cart? if that was the main reason for the purchase you should have instructed me how to test authenticity for the item, if I did help you I would not refund the shipping amount or pay you for return shipping and other fees that are non-refundable, inwhich case I don't know how favorable that option is, if you have problems with the game working then that might be the result of delivery handling damage in which case I can put in a claim for you with fedex but that isn't going to work unless there is noticible damage to the packaging and or contents, is there any damage?

sorry if you really are having trouble, I am just trying to be as fair as possible yet not get taken advantage of at the same time"

I haven't responded yet because I'm still on the fence about the next step I should take. I do want a refund but based on the tone of his email, I don't want to send the cart out and possibly end up with nothing. I'm leaning towards just keeping it and treating this as a learning experience for the future.

Just wanted let others know that if they get any neo geo games from this guy.

Check out his feedback. This guy is a piece of work. He always blames everyone else for his mistakes. I guess you should take this one as a learning experience to check the user ID before buying. There is no way you can win in this situation. He seem like the type to take your money and the returned item. Leaving him a negative will get you one in return and a nasty comment. But if I were you I would leave one still. The item is paid for and he did state it was it was original, but then afterwards he tells you he never opened the case? That is BS. How would he know its original if he never opened it.

I sent the following email to him tonight, we'll see how he responds:
"Hello,

Based on the way the your auction was listed and other auctions you have up, it seemed you were pretty knowledgeble about neo geo carts / arcade stuff in general. Thats why I didn't email you before bidding. This is my first neo geo game purchased off ebay and the only reason I opened it was to clean it. This is expected because carts do get dirty and yes they can be opened. There was no damaged to the box or the outside of the cart at all, it was packed nicely so filing a claim with fedex would be useless. The motherboard I'm using I know it works cause there is another game in there right now, I also cleaned the mobo out for dust before I put the cart in. The cart has garbled text. It's like when an old NES cart is dirty or not inserted properly and the graphics look funny.
I understand that you don't wanna be scammed and all I can say is I'm not trying to do that. I also don't want to be scammed either. If you want I can send you pictures of the cart (inside and out) and pics of what it looks like on screen.
I would like a refund or replacement for the cart I purchased. I am willing to foot the ebay listing fees and the return shipping if this is acceptable with you.

Thank-you,
-s."

last night I put in to get some pics and lo and behold it works again. My roommate played for 4 hours straight (she's a little "obsessed") and played fine the whole time. I guess it was just real dirty.
But it's still a boot.

crap.

I have to admit..

Though this is a highly booted game..most of them work/really well too..

I have a boot of this game that works flawlessly..I also have another one but it has no sound..

For some reason I hardly ever hear of this game not working.
But,most of the working boots I see are Simple EPROM boots... whereas I've never seen one with so much on the boards like yours..
