I'm not sure how I never saw the comparison before, considering I've seen Mad Max 2 about a thousand times. But, the similarities are pretty damn undeniable.

Well i'll be damned, i had no idea this film was also known as Mad Max 2.

Most of the time it's just "Road Warrior" over here.

Mad Max 3 is a giant pile of shit.

Well SNK may have taken Cham Cham from there but Tetsuo Hara and Buronson borrowed just about the whole cast for Hokuto No Ken. Even the look of Kenshiro in the Manga was a direct lift of Mel Gibson.

You know what. Normally the time I play Sam sho 2 and the time I watched that movie is so far apart, that I never put that together. Even from memory, I remember that kid, and I'd just have to say, good find. Wow. The fact that the kid is so cham cham, or the other way around, is just hitting me.

I guess, if you look hard enough, you'll find the original western movie, or eastern folklore images that most *past* fighting game characters had derived from. I think in the more modern fighting games, we see the first people who may be more or less completely original, non-derived, folks.

And as Cartman said, "Mel Gibson can't be wrong, you know!"

I got my copy used from Gamespot like 2 years ago. I thought I saw it at Fry's here in the Las Vegas area. Wouldn't be suprised if it was, considering it was one of the early DVD releases. Surprising that it hasn't gotten the Special Edition treatment from WB that MGM gave Mad Max 1. That was a great release.

You should still be able to find a copy sitting on a shelf in one store or another...make sure you look for it under "The Road Warrior"

It's still my absolute favorite of the trilogy...
