Hey,
I have a question to ask to the German members. There's this song that came out like last month (July) made by Paul Van Dyk and Peter Heppner titled "Wir Sind Wir" and before anything I love this song so much (both Club & Radio) and I really would like to know if anyone here can please write the lyrics from the Club Mix of what Peter Heppner says?

I only can get:
Tag um Tag, Jahr um Jahr then Aufgeteilt, besiegt und doch, Wir Sind Wir then the beat kicks in (Club Mix).

I apologize for any intruding, but damn I really want to know the words Peter Heppner says.
Here's the link in case anyone wants to listen to it: Wir Sind Wir

Thank you for your time and help.
:D

Tak's neo-geo.com German -> English translation service #251:

-- German

Tag um Tag, Jahr um Jahr,
Wenn ich durch diese Straßen geh',
Seh ich wie die Ruinen dieser Stadt
Wieder zu Häusern auferstehen.

Doch bleiben viele Fenster leer,

Day by day, year by year,
When I'm walking through the streets,
I see the ruins in this city
turn into houses again.

But many windows stay empty,
For many did not return.
and nobody talks about what happened,
not a very long time ago.

But I ask myself, I ask myself where we stand.

We are we! We stand strong!
Divided, defeated, but still -
we still live, after all.

We are we! We stand strong!
It can't be all there is.
No time to cry.
We are we! We stand strong!
We are we!

Risen from the ruins we thought,
a dream would have come true
40 years we stood together.
We turned ashes into gold.

Now everything has changed,
and what was important is not anymore
Now we can have what we want,
but didn't we want more?

And I ask myself where we are.

We are we! we stand strong!
We are as one again in one country,
Super rich and flat broke.

We are we! We stand strong!
It takes more to make us crawl,
not time to be bitter.
We are we! We stand strong!
We are we!

We are we! We stand strong!
Divided, defeated, but still -
we still live, after all.

We are we!
And we will overcome.
For life must go on.

We are we!
It's just one lost race.
We won't give up so fast.

The lyrics deal wih the problems of the German reunification and the 40 years of division into West and East Germany. During these 40 years, ppl desperatedly wanted to reunificate the two, but now that the iron curtain is no more, economical and social problems are all ppl talk about, nobody talks about how happy we should be about the defeat of a cruel dictatorship in the middle of Europe and in Russia.

Personally, I don't like the way Heppner presents his stuff... "we are we, we stand strong"... I mean... as a German, that's not something I would want to rub in ppl's faces, but that's prolly just me.

Anyway, have fun.

Is it something offensive or something? If so both Paul and Peter better run. lol

Also there is something that Heppner says in the PvD Remix that I can't understand. As I previously wrote he does say Tag um Tag, Jahr um Jahr and after that he says something with Wir.

Listen to the PvD Remix (not Radio Edit) when you have time.

Thank you so much sir.

There's a controverse discussion about Heppner/Witt and other "Neo-German" bands going on over here since quite a while now. It's not so much about the lyrics (except for some parts), it's more about the clips that go with the music. They play around with elements you also see in Nazi propaganda movies and in the famous Reichsparteitag or Olympia 1936 footage of Leni Riefenstahl, and they combine that with some sort of marching beat... that's a bit too much of the wrong symbolism for some people.

That's not to say Heppner would be some sort of Salon Nazi or something, it's just his martial style that rubs people the wrong way, even more as there's a growing radicalism in Germany, fueled by anger about the drastic social and political changes over here. Some fear that an increasing acceptance of artists who play with fire may create some kind of safe spot for extremists where they could pump out their propganda without any legal consequences, nicely wrapped in chart-compatible club music or new heavy tracks.
