    wow.. information spewing, good stuff.

A couple little tidbits that I didn't see here:

From what I know, many games that were originally sold out of the SNK offices had a bar code sticker on the back of the cart. These bar code stickers had the game name written in english (I assume they used them to scan for inventory?). I have a Sonic Wings 3 with an english bar code sticker on the back of it that came from SNK USA (but otherwise is the same as the JP version).

Also, Original Neo Geo Pocket Color sales in the US were a little different. There are hard shell versions of US games that are different then the US counterparts (Metal Slug 1 for instance). Also I believe that the original packaging for the Neo Geo Pocket color was a little different than the final retail chain store packaging. But I am no pocket expert.

And, if you add up all of the current high prices from the n-g.com price guides for just the US released games you get: $17,055 (add $160 if you count Puzzled as a US release)

    Keep this post going! =]

I didnt read the whole thred so I mightr be repeating sombody but with bad spelling.

US aes systems are twice as heavy as jap ones as they have a great big metal shield plate over the board.

Neo pockets have a contrast adjuster under the batt's, you have to use a little screwdriver.

People I have personally had business with, all trustworthy.

    Bumporama.

In Neo Turf Masters, if you are near the green, you can use the putter to get the ball to the green.

BTW I got an EAGLE on the 17th hole of the Germany course. It's no Albatross but it works for me!

Japanese arcade operators usually set the life setting to "life" in Prehistoric Isle 2 (as opposed to the "hero" mode usually used in U.S. arcades.
    Uh-oh! It's a 'generic' Neo-geo.com signature!!

Its also not technically Neo/SNK related (unreleased SVC:Chaos notwithstanding). Its also horribly common knowledge amongst fighter fans.

I wish I had something cool to add.

The reset button on your NGH system is the same as a button on your joystick.

Some NGPC titles are uncensored if you set the machine to Japanese.

The Pulstar NGCD has a variety of files on the CD, from word documents to random AVI movies and more.

    Exclamation

Tyson did two ear bites! 1990 & 1997. M. Bison was a wink to Mike Tyson and notice that M. Bison is the brother of Vega (M.Bison outside Japan). It's more becuse being afraid of lawsuit that Capcom renamed the characters than because of this incident.

"SNK, (Shin Nihon Kiaku Corporation) which is best known for their Neo Geo line of arcade and home gaming products, was based just yards across the street from Atari Corporation in Sunnyvale, California. On many occasions during the early 1990's SNK and Atari had worked together on a few interesting undisclosed projects. It is believed that the mysterious Atari MIRAI mockup game system was the ultimate product of this union, possibly being the "Neo Geo for the masses" while being marketed under the more familiar Atari brand name. The MIRAI featured XEGS-like styling and a massive cartridge port which could easily swallow a Neo-Geo sized cartridge."

    Wow!

That almost looks like a Atari XE hybrid of some sorts. Never saw that pic before.

Quick one on the whole Bison, Tyson thing, the Tyson rat bite on Holyfield was '97, I don't know of one from '90, but it may have happened. I am pretty sure though that the big Tyson problem at the time was his rape case and subsequent imprisonment.

(Although this could have just been a Capcom media stunt to increase the games awareness in good old blighty by making it a bit "controversial") wink

The Ikari team music in KoF'94 is a straight rip of Surprise! You're dead, by Faith no More.

Each Character in SS2 has a move where you can turn them into a little SD doll. You can't move, but you can pull of a move and come out of the doll straight into that move.

Hanzo's invisiblity move in SS2 is done b,f,b,f,b,f,qcf+BCD
