Well... a little on topic, there's a little orange pot near the Sony CXA1145 video encoder chip that will allow you to fiddle with the bleed.

Anyone seen a Pop N Bounce running with a trackwheel?

oh hum...

Any JEDIA 68 pin PCMCIA (ver 3+) flash memory card will work on the Neo. Even the 512MB ones.

I bet you could have a save from every game and then some.

Well, in the back of the manual for some dog tag carts, it says, "This product can only be used on the NEO GEO Rental System."

Perhaps because of the high price it was used mainly as a rental machine?
If so, I wonder where you could have went to rent one...

Did you know...

...that the Neo CD originally was meant as a CD-add on for the homecart system?

In 1994, SNK's engineers, inspired by the success of CD-based consoles (PC Engine, Mega CD, etc.), came up with the idea of a CD drive for the cart systems in order to have quality audio, but after a while, SNK canned the idea in favour of a real CD console and finally released the Neo CD in 1995.

Did you know I have three arcades within a six minute walk from my house?

They hold four MVS machines between them featuring thirteen games in total.

My preferred local pool hall (there are two) used to have a six slot.

Exclusive facts about the Neo are hard to come by, but this will do

The Phantom 1 works with all home carts!

Did you know that arcades in the UK are so stupid they will take away a neo cab and replace it with a F*&^ING Area 51 game! and that if you want to play KOF2K2 YOU CAN'T (although i haven't been to Brighton yet and they MIGHT have it by now)

.. That if you set all dip switches on on the MVS you get "work ram test", and all backup ram data is erased ?

switch 7 or 8 on a thing of very tiny switches on the mvs system pauses the game. Also did you know snk reached it's peak of mainstrem popularity in 1995. how about that snk was originally to be a hentai company but aborted the idea as there are already too many in japan and they can't deal with that much competition

<a href="http://www.atari7800.com/7800magazine/10.htm" target="_blank">http://www.atari7800.com/7800magazine/10.htm</a>

"SNK, (Shin Nihon Kiaku Corporation) which is best known for their Neo Geo line of arcade and home gaming products, was based just yards across the street from Atari Corporation in Sunnyvale, California. On many occasions during the early 1990's SNK and Atari had worked together on a few interesting undisclosed projects. It is believed that the mysterious Atari MIRAI mockup game system was the ultimate product of this union, possibly being the "Neo Geo for the masses" while being marketed under the more familiar Atari brand name. The MIRAI featured XEGS-like styling and a massive cartridge port which could easily swallow a Neo-Geo sized cartridge."
