Okay, so if she's a pirate...

Then "Tron Bonne" (from the rockman world) would be a play on words for "Trombone" and something else ("Robot *something*"), correct? What does "Bonne" mean?

I just might be a complete idiot, but am I the only person that thinks "JonBenet Ramsey" when you read the name B. Jenet? Its literally like they just flipped the B and J around.

Yeah, the name is Bonne Jenet. She (and all her crew, called 'Lilien Knights') are inspired from the manga/anime called' One Piece'. Yes, her dog is no exception, coming from the 'ShuShu' dog in ?One Piece'. :)

What does "Bonne" mean?
Perhaps it means "the good one", derived from the French "bon" which means "good".

That is why I love B. Jenet even more buttrock

Oh, here's a spread from a Shonen Jump. The girl that B. Jenet is based off of, if she actually is B. Jenet's inspiration, is called Nami, she's the girl on the far bottom:

Well, I dont' think B. Jenet is actually based on a particular character in One Piece (ie Nami), but more likely inspired by the 'wacky pirates' feel of the whole series.

It's currently appears in Viz's monthly Shonen Jump. It's available in the U.S. and Canada. Should be able to find it at book stores and comic book shops.
