I'm still trying to get the color order down pat. I've really been going to sending back the other players ghosty attack things. That seems to be the big key to winning. Both sending them back, and making large chains at the same time.

Don't you know? It's standard for magical girls to be able to transform into warrior princesses so they can kick evildoer ass.

I just shoot anything moving.

....with a little bit of strategy. I wish I could play against someone one day.

It's really fun in 2-Player mode, I feel a lot better losing when I see the competition is getting as worked up as me. When the cpu wins, it's upsetting, because you never see it break a sweat. Maybe you should come down to Washington DC one weekend. There's some good competition down here for TSS.

The color order goes like this:
Violet - Blue - Green - Yellow - Red

After Red, they blow up.

Lemme add something else. I despise fighting against CPU Memory. She's to TSS what Igniz is to KoF2K1, damn cheap. Her attacks are damn powerful, she's very fast, and the AI is so good at dodging all that mess.

I hate her. Even pitting Memory VS Memory still has me losing :(

On the other hand, the fact that she's such an absolute food junkie amuses me to no end ^_^

Yeah, kind of irritating how it can pretty much resurrect itself when you have the match won, and come back with an attack of A-bomb preportions, but it just makes me happy to stomp the cpu characters into the ground.

And sure, I look forward to some good & proper competition!

The only person I can get to play against me in this game is my sister. Sadly, she kicks my ass at it a whole lot.

Wow, your sis is better at shmups than you :p

Lemme add something else. The Wonder World stage is hard. The enemies are tougher and move faster, making chaining much harder. And it's also Memory's home turf, which is why it's so hard fighting her.

Now here's something else. When I was playing thia bout an hour ago, I got a Max Chain against the cpu, and I was only up to a 30+ hit chain (turned out to be 37). Then, Mevious even did one on me. So my question is, at what point does "Max Chain" start, and why even have one, if, as I'm presuming, it gets initiated after a certain chain, like say 35 or so. Wish I had a screen shot to show. Anyway, I got the 42-hit Chain a long time ago (final stage) so I've long since forgotten if "Max Chain" came up on screen or not.

......I just took a quick flip through the Gamest Mook & could not find anything in there either.

Men, I really love TTS.

i used to play it to death in the arcade, now paying it on AES, Sat & DC.

I'm still trying to understand all the game patterns (what actually determin dimension, speed and traiectory of the flames attacks), but it's ALWAYS *SO* fun.

My chara: Ran (both forms)

My body? Look in the story mode.

you mean the pig girl? She's okay. Everyone but the Griffon team and Mitsuagi are good in my opinion.

I'll go look, if it means that much. Does one chinese girl on a panda really detemine whether or not you want to buy this game? Or is it just curiosity?

OK.

Meirin ("Marylin?")

She is a girl with dark purple/black hair. She rides a big panda. The big panda wears tine glasses. Her shot is one green laser/one yellow laser. Her powered up shot is four huge bombs. She is slow. Her shot takes a long time to charge.

She sucks.

Does that satisfy you? Can you decide now whether the game is really worth it?

The ranking system confuses me. I finish the game on one credit ("You must be a master to have gotten this far without a shingle continue!" - Mevious) with Schmitt and Till and yet I only get Rank 6 and 7 respectively. But then when I waste credits and swear at Memory until I finally finish the game, I get Rank 5. It's just weird.

Also, how do you get Rank 1?

Buy the game and find out.

Baby: I have no idea, I think it has to do with your chains. The more HUGE chains you make, the better you rank. Smaller chain=lower rank.

"PERFECTs" may have something to do with it. Has anyone figured out the criteria for getting a "PERFECT" chain?

Feh, the ranking system is whack. I score 1,400,000 points with Mevious but I get Rank 8 (what do you mean I got lucky?!). Before that, I scored 850,000 with Macky & Pentell and I got Rank 2 (i r exprt lol!1). Senselessness abounds everywhere...

Perfect chains are done when you completely eliminate an enemy formation by blowing up only one enemy and letting the resulting explosions do the rest.

One more thing. CPU Memory's rapid fire rate is bull. She can blow up a boss the second it appears by blasting it at point blank range. I hate her, I really really hate her

Great score. I got 1,340,000 with Ran and a max-chain of 54. But I still don't have a clue to get god chains every match. Have you got a hint for me?

Cool info. Do you get more points or anything else for those "perfects"?

God chains, huh? Anticipate the opponent sending several gazillions of attack chars at you, then blow up a formation and hope the explosions reflect back all those attack chars. Difficult, and risky. Not to mention the opponent might be too dumb to do it anyway.

As for perfects, I think a perfect chain sends an extra attack char at the opponent along with the normal attack chars from the chain.

And here's how to play as the normally unselectable characters:
Dark Ran - On Griffon, press Down Down Down Down A.
Mevious - On Griffon, press Up Up Up Up A.
Sprites - On Ran, press Up Up Up Up A.
Memory - On Ran, press Down Down Down Down A.

Don't hope to emulate Memory's godly rapid fire rate, though. Unless you have an extremely twitchy finger :p
