Question about Neo emulators/ sprite rips

To do sprite rips you download something like NeoRageX and there is a record feature?
I am going on the little info I have gotten on the boards.

Also, are there Neo emulators for Macintosh or PC only?

There isn't a record feature. You have to take a screenshot of EVERY frame then hack and clean each and every screenshot until the animation sequence you want is complete.

Single moves can take as little as 20 minutes. Complex combos can take upwards of two hours.

Of course you can half ass and get a sloppy rip in a couple minutes. :D

There are also emulators for Mac, both OS 9 and X. Check out <a href="http://www.macmame.org" target="_blank">www.macmame.org</a>

I own an MVS collection but I must admit to playing ROMs when I travel. MacMame is the Don. You need a copy of the neo bios to play the roms. Check out <a href="http://www.mame.dk" target="_blank">www.mame.dk</a> for roms and bios etc.

I guess sprite rips are more complicated than I thought.

Just shell out the cash and get a video capture card for your pc and make the *.avi's into gifs.

Cant disable the layers in avi video and the image quality gets messed up.

Just use the emulators.

Okay I got the mame from macmame.org

I downloaded a bios and a game but cant get them to work.
Don't I just put the .zip files in the rom folder?
What am I doing wrong?
If someone can help me out, either give me instructions or send me a bios and a game that works so I know what the hell I am doing!
I am not very good with computers or emulators.
