Tabitha looks awesome - really nice pose and facial expression. I agree that the coloring looks great, but I do think you overdid it a little with the CG coloring (some parts are too blurry/indistinct), also, the arm/hand is a wee bit off.

awesome stuff. How long do you spend on the sketches? I just love them. And you seem to have the same wierd drawing habit as me. I even noticed something I made awhile ago that has a rather similar counterpart in one of your drawings. I see I'n not the only one who likes blonde girls to be wearing cat ears and mini-skirts.

I like the stuff alot.
Keep up the good work.

Btw: you an art student?

Hey Zorro,
the drawings very on the time, this one was about two hours, an hour for the pencils and then another hour in painter.

The sketch pages are about the same, an hour for the double spread (I just draw across the two pages) and then another hour tighting up pencils and what not. I use a photo ref, or dvd grabs for poses a lot, and make up faces, clothes, etc. that or I make it up whole cloth. I tend to learn more from the ref pieces though.

I got out of art school with a degree in electronic media (3d, video, computers, that kind of stuff) and took some drawing classes here and there. I didn't major in the drawing end of things so I kind of do that in my spare time now.

Nothing wrong with some cat ears and some skirts:)

How bout you? art school?

not yet, I'm on my 3rd year drawing going on 4. I didn't use to draw at all, but then I joined an art program at the high school. I had to fill a 200-page sketchbook each of the 3 years I was there (I didn't) but I did well enough anyway) and now I'm starting to do college classes. My major is going to be art and I'm also going to do some engineering. I don't wanna go to the most expensive art school that I know of though (Art Center College of Design). Instead I'm going to go to cal-state Northridge. After I finish Pasadena City College.

Where in CA do you live?

Zorro, I'm in San Francisco now, just working and goofing off. I went to a really cheap art school, but I found that I got the most out of just spending some money on a computer of my own and working on it into the weee hours:)

Sega, I used painter 5.5 for its simple water and painter 7 for the glow tool. Painter 7 has a very different water color engine than painter 6 and back. The black line is just the pencil drawing on a layer in photoshop as a multiply.
