It says it uses two MVS at the same time. How true could it be?

Good point how would you use 2 at a time though but having this game for MVS would be nice.

What will the graphics be like.........Mark of the Wolves-style or KoF-style?
And what will the special intros be for the characters? Who's gonna be the last bosses this time(the last two times the bosses were Geese and Bison/Vega then Evil Ryu and Orochi Iori in MotM. In Capcom vs SNK,it's Geese and Bison/Vega again with secret boss Akuma/Gouki/Shin Akuma/Shin Gouki.)? Why won't SNK put a mix-groove like they did in MotM?(and should've put more grooves...maybe like a least 60 grooves)

Actually if you check the MVS manuals there is built-in functionality for games on multiple MVS platforms. Some of the 8 dip switches are used for this feature only.

I sure hope it doesn't require 2 MVS boards though! That would be a pain to setup at home.

You think they meant two MVS slots? Because how could you hook up two boards?

If it were 2 slots then it could make sense since it would be like some of the cd games like Rival Schools which is composed of 2 cd's.

So, they could have a "Story" mode on one cart and an "Extra" mode on the other?

That would be pretty cool, but imagine the cost. :P

My only question is with the validity of the information. One point that stuck in my mine about the news section was that if you read the post below it reports this whole slew of games coming to the PC... well one of the titles listed is Samurai Showdown 4... that came out last year for the PC at the same time Fatal Fury 3 and Puzzle Bobble did.

just food for thought

To this day I am still waiting for Snk to make Capcom vs. Snk for the MVS version.
I hope Snk will make it with a lot of characters. I still want King to be in the game. You heard Snk? King must be in too.

Couple things:

Those rumors are pretty old. There was talk of this port coming to the MVS quite some time ago (that news release is 6 months old). Since then SNK has gone under so I'm pretty sure any chance of this game being re-released on the MVS is small to none.

A couple MVS games are equiped with the (un-utilized) 4 player capability. There was a port on the actual MVS cart that allowed for two cabs to be linked together for 4 player support. Games that had this feature include League Bowling. Sadly, it was never followed through so the possibility of 4 player Neo games is a thing of the past (for now).

I'm sure the "Requires two MVS boards" rumour was tied in with the "4 player support" rumour. Of course you would need two boards to play with four players, but a standard game competing two people against one another would still require only a single cab.

Who knows, maybe the rumours of the new sequels hitting the MVS will include a port of the (still VERY popular) SNK vs Capcom series. Four player support would simply rule (seperating itself from the already-established Capcom version) and the number of modes with this feature boggles the mind. 2v2 at the same time anyone? Tag battles? Free for all rumble? 3v1 handicap match? Having four people kicking ass on the same screen with a 2D fighting game would certainly revolutionize the genre. I wonder if the old Neo could handle it though. 2 MVS boards are still MVS boards. I don't thing using two would double the power, just allow for 4 person play.

Edit: BLAH!!! Damn old posts rising from the grave, confusing my ass...

I just hope Snk has this title under development. It would be AWESOME if they release it soon.

I had always thought Capcom would make the console games and SNK would make the portable games.

But a SvC for MVS might be interesting. I highly doubt of its existence, but if it did exist, I would bet it would be based on the pocket version of SvC.

One thing I noticed is the versions of the SF characters used by Capcom and SNK. Capcom tends to use old-school characters, while SNK tends to use Capcom characters with moves from MvC2 (Dan's Otoko Michi, Sakura's Shun-Goku-Satsu, etc) I wonder if SvC for MVS existed if this continues.

The fact that the dude on that website said that it would use the same graphics and game engine from KOF '96 proves to me its fecal pudding.
