sorry if it sounds like anything else, but he is speaking in JAPANESE, because the game is made in JAPAN. This is kind of a stupid thread, its like when ppl ignore the fact that the characters are speaking in a different language, its "nippon ichi" not "me bouncy", or "shoryuken" not "all you can". <IMG SRC="smilies/ohno.gif" border="0">

Hey Shin-Kyo, you're right on the langauge and what they're saying also is right.
I was wondering about the first and second parts of Terry's Buster Wolf in Mark of the Wolves and in CvsS, can you tell me what Terry is saying when he begins it and ends it?

In Capcom VS. SNK:

'ARE YOU OKAY!? BUSTER WOLF!!!'

In MOTW:

'ARE YOU OKAY!? BLAST OFF!!!!'

Don't ask me why a move where he clearly yells 'BLAST OFF' as he performs it is called 'BUSTER WOLF' in the second game to have the maneuver. But if you listen to it in MOTW, he is NOT saying 'BUSTER WOLF'. At least, I don't think so.

But 'Buster Wolf' is a much better name for the move than 'Blast Off' <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">.

Well, continuing what Taiso said...

I also own the MOTW home cart (woohoo!) and listening to it through head phones, it sounds like he's saying "Are you O.K.? BUSSTAHHWOOOOLFFF!" You REALLY have to listen to the "WOOOOOLFFF!" part to hear it, but that's what it sounds like to me, anyway <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

yeah terry talks funny sometimes, just japanese ppl talking engrish. I've thought he said "are you okay..? Buster Wolf!" though i have no idea what he says for power geyser, "you bam/burn!" or sounds something like that.. or crackshot "kick that" (take that?), or "bane" (burn?)

heh my bro thought the title screen said

What's bizarre to me about Terry's speech in MOTW is that the vocal commands for the maneuvers are SO different! I mean...they're not even REMOTELY close to what they used to be:P!

I thought Terry said 'That Strong!' in Mark of The Wolves. Anyway thanks, Taiso, for what Terry was saying and you too, Miaka.

Shin-Kyo, Terry is actually saying "Power.... Geyser!"

Terry Bogard is to the English language what Street Fighter's Sodom is to the Japanese language.

It's so embarrassing. My favorite character in the KOF universe is an American that speaks 'engrish' as his prime language...

Terry is closest to a Chinese main character. (His fighting style is the combo of Kung-Fu and Brawling. And Kung-Fu is the most powerful martial art around.)
