My thoughts:

I didn't see any reference to Joe or Dan being in the game even though they're going to be in CVS Pro. They'd BETTER be in CVS2 !

Morrigan still looks like crap compared to the other characters. I hope they fix this. Actually, I hope they remove her to make room for Ibuki or Alex, but there's not much chance of that happening, is there ?

Looks like most of the characters from the SF side are still sprite rips from the Alpha series. I like the Alpha series graphics, but you'd figure that they would redraw all of the characters, not just Ryu, Ken and Akuma, for this momentous occasion.

Don't know if I like the S-Groove having a dodge option. I'd prefer the roll over the dodge myself, but I guess if I want that I'll have to play Capcom Groove if what we've seen so far is any indication of how things are going to go. I like that Capcom Groove and SNK Groove are now a little closer thematically to the Advanced and Extra modes of KOF, but I would still like both modes to roll. No mention made of dashing either. I hope it's a part of the normal gameplay and not an option you have to unlock like in the first game.

I hope they include a Neo-Geo Pocket Link option, or at least the option to use your CVS memory file to contribute points towards the unlocking of features in the new game. Because you know they're going to be there !

Nothing about character specific ending sequences either. I hope I hope!

It still looks like a work in progress, but it's promising. The choice of Maki is an intriguing one, and as I'm a big Guy fan I really hope her gameplay is similar enough to satisfy my need to put the Bushin mojo on peoples' asses this time out . Ryuhaku Todo is an interesting choice because it's from out of nowhere. I never really begged for this character to come back but if he's fun to play it's all good.

First off, it's certainly a relief to know this bad boy is hitting the Dreamcast afterall.

As for the two new characters announced, I'm very pleasently surprised. Maki and R. Todo are cool choices, and besides that, if THEY can get in, then my faves, like Duck King and Hsien-Ko, might have a chance after all!!! WOO-HOO!!!

Know what I like about this one? It seems they are going the KOF97 route and making it well known (in the game) that it's a huge tournament! I always liked that in KOF97, and while backgrounds that are normal street fights are nice, it's cool to show that this is a real deal fight championship going on here.

The ONLY thing I don't like is how the special moves seem to have a bit too much special to them. I bit too flashy. I hope they focus a lot on the 2D sprites' animation, too.

It's GREAT to see Haoumaru in the game, now!

Did you guys notice that the CD attacks seem to be in the game too? There's a picture on Madman's of Rugal doing his air CD. Man, I hope they decided to throw the CD's in! Running in on your opponent with Iori's just not the same when you can't smash them with his CD shoulder charge !

This is just one of the most exciting piece of arcade news I've read in months after the long draught of fighting games for arcade. Capcom has always been able to produce good sequels, so I'm very sure that CvsS 2 will be much better than CvsS but the question would be even then would it still live up to our expectations? Anyway, still glad that I have one more chance to spend money on my DC.

Capcom should be applauded for the decision to bring this game to Dreamcast....... I know I went a bit insane when I heard it was only confirmed for PSX2 at that time, But I know now that Capcom still love us

since the game has 6 buttons, the CD frame from KOF is now a feirce frame(in iori`s case) or a roundhouse frame(in rugal`s case)
