If you don't already own the DC or PS2 version by now then its not really a big deal.

It doesn't look any better or worse than the previous versions, although the characters are less pixelated than the PS2 version.

Good comment

I already own the Jap version and some animation is lost in some of the characters - i noticed quite abit with Joe Higashi

But i like the lighting effects - look better on the gc than the ps2

Easy operation is alot of bollox btw

Delayed?!

I got a copy of it with my new Gamecube yesterday! (the Japanese version anyway).

So import a copy if you really want it, you get a free memory card with it as well!

yeah, the differences ive heard was that capcom fixed the roll cancel glitch and added in some animations that were taken out a bit, like in rugals genocide cutter...some people say its less pixelated the the ps2 version and all...doesnt seem to bad, but it would sure be nice if they didnt half ass the US version again...no team quotes?! no god rugal?! bah....ultimate rugal.....god rugal sounds a good 10xs cooler

There's no way the CUBED version would better than the DC or the PS2's..

Will you pull your head out of your ass already? Just because you have an immature hatred towards the GameCube doesnt mean this game cant be better than the PS2 or DC versions. If you havent realised yet, anything the PS2 can do the GCN can do, and better in most cases.

Please give me one good reason on how this game can be any worse than the PS2 or DC versions. Dont bother bringing up the the controller, because everybody and their grandmother knows that the controller isnt suited for fighters. But really, how many default controllers have been? The Saturn controller, and that's about it.

The GC version is no different from the DC/ps2 versions.I have already seen the import GC version in action.

The sprites still remains pixelated, the sound effects are same, the backgrounds are similar and so are the loadings. The lighting effects too are the same.
The only difference lies in the easy operation system.

And for some strange reason, the GC version's sprites seem "magnified" much like the ps2 version's although a little smoother than the former. The GC and ps2 version does not have the mini slowdowns when 2 fighters perform a LV3 super at the same time unlike the DC version. That problem was minor and not very noticable in the DC version unless if you are really observant.
The DC version of CvS1 too has some slowdown at the train stage while the arcade version doesn't have it.

Bottom line is all 3 versions are quite similar to each other.

Oh, and i forgot to mention that the japanese ps2 version runs on a CD while the domestic ps2 version runs on DVD.That explains why the japanese ps2 version needs a hard drive for faster loadings. The US version loads lightning quick much like the DC version.

Xbox is on the bottom of Capcom's priority list (because it's the lowest selling console??), thats why there's only a few Capcom games comming out on the box :D .

CVS2 EO has a smooth ass framerate, but the buttons need some getting used to (I usually end up doing light attacks most of the time).

The GC-ISM is great for beginners, but isn't good if you love whacking out combos.
