What would you like in a Capcom vs. SNK 3?

Here are some things I'd put in CvS3:

Groove Changes:

P-groove: Make it more like SFIII 3rd Strike. Add the EX-Specials as well as the ability to save multiple supers. Some supers should require 2 levels to use.

K-groove: Make it more like Garou in general.

New Grooves:

Cap'94 (SSFII Turbo): Like using the "old version" character codes from SSFII Turbo. No super moves, but normals and specials do slightly more damage.

SNK'94 (AOF2): Every special move would require a bit of your spirit meter. Super moves would do GRAVE damage (50% or more) but would be harder to attain, just like an AOF title. Your spirit meter would be vulnerable to taunt-downs.

New Characters:

Capcom:
*SFIII 3rd: Dudley, Alex, Q, Remy, Makoto, Twelve
*Final Fight 2: Carlos, Philippe (the clown)
*SFZ3: Karin
*Final Fight: Cody, Haggar, Guy
*SFIII: Gill (none of that Resurrection jazz here however)
NOTE: Morrigan should be redrawn.

SNK:
*RBFF2: Bob Wilson, Hon-fu
*KOF2001 New Faces: K9999, Mei-Li, Angel, Foxy
*Garou: Freeman
*KOF2001: Ralf & Clark (bring over the "Cross Changer!" intro), Robert Garcia, Andy Bogard
*KOF'96: Krauser, Mr. Big

Boss Teams (you'd need a certain amount of groove points and no continues)
*Capcom: Psycho-powered M. Bison, Shin Akuma, and Gill (all Ratio 4's)
*SNK: Geese, Krauser, Mr. Big (all Ratio 4's)
(To compensate for all three bosses being Rt. 4's- you'd get your current character's life bar refilled completely after beating one of the bosses.)

New Stages:

1) Berlin- This one would be a German techno club where the fighters are on a rotating stage.

2) New Orleans- Bourbon Street during a Mardi Gras with plenty of crowd noise.

3) Miami- The fighters battle on a blocked-out section of freeway. On the other side of the freeway, there's rush hour traffic. Past there, you can see some palm trees. Way off in the distance is a cityscape.

4) London- A revamp of the original CvS2 stage, except it's winter and there's some snow falling.

5) Shinjuku

6) Beijing

7) Ocho Rios, Jamaica- An outdoors scene with DeeJay's band performing live.

8) Southtown Ruins- Southtown after getting nailed with the Zero Cannon.

9) Metro City- A downtown look, like that of the first scene from Final Fight 1's last stage.

10) New York- Revamped version of the NY stage from CvS2.

11) Mittelgebirge- Strolheim Castle. (SNK Boss team's stage)

12) Thailand- Inside the Shadowloo Fortress (Capcom Boss team's stage)

1. NO MORE DAMN RATIOS! This was the 1st problem that should've gotten corrected.
2. No multiple versions of any; and I mean any character.
3. For that SF III groove, I'd make based on New Generation (No ES moves.)
4. A Vampire groove based on Vampire Savior which:

-Enables character specific dashes
-ES moves
-Guard Reversals
-Pursuits
-Life bar slowly recovers some lost life when left alone
-Supers (Or EX moves as they're called in the series) moves don't freeze the game
-Chain combos

5. More characters from Rival Schools, Final Fight, SF III, SF Zero

What I desire most in CvsS3?

The most important is instead of toning down the SNK staff they should tone up the sloppy Capcom staff. Ryu´s specials and supers maybe were good in Alpha, but nowadays and compared to SNK-Fighters they are a mere joke.

Better yet, let SNK make it!

I think SNK staff should be more involved in the project- perhaps 50/50 rather than totally, since this is Capcom vs. SNK after all.

On the soundtrack- Capcom's sound team should do some of the music (Berlin, London, New York, Ocho Rios, Thailand, Metro City), while SNK's sound team should do other stages' tracks (New Orleans, Shinjuku, Beijing, Miami, Southtown Ruins, Mittelgebirge).

Bonus stages would be nice to bring back- I'd like to see one based on AOF2's street brawl, and a falling barrel round (maybe for a twist, an occasional barrel could be red- signifying that it would require a special move to take out).

Oh, one more thing- perhaps another taunt or two for Dan inspired by some of SNK's newer characters. :D

Capcom had 2 chances to make this game, so why not just scrap the whole thing altogether. I do not wish even snk to make a neogeo version of this project.
But if they are going to make it agaaain, then just reuse the sprites off the original games they come from. Simple as that, then you can your favourete characters in there classic days again i suppose.

OK, this is my first post here, so don't flame me.

What I would like to see in the CvSNK 3 core:
More Grooves. The grooves seemed hacked up to me, and I believe grooves should be true to the game they come from (but some sacrifices should be made to retain the game format), thus they demand no explanation. The grooves should be:
  • SNK - KOF Advanced Groove
  • SNK - KOF Extra Groove
  • SNK - KOF Groove (Counter mode is activated with PPK and Armor mode is activated with PKK, as well, you can designate strikers, which cost super bar)
  • SNK - Garou Groove
  • SNK - Last Blade Power Groove
  • SNK - Last Blade Speed Groove
  • SNK - Last Blade EX Groove
  • SNK - Samurai Spirits Slash Groove
  • SNK - Samurai Spirits Bust Groove
  • SNK - Art of Fighting Groove
  • Capcom - Street Figher Alpha 2 Groove
  • Capcom - Street Fighter Alpha 3 X-Groove
  • Capcom - Street Fighter Alpha 3 A-Groove
  • Capcom - Street Fighter Alpha 3 V-Groove
  • Capcom - Street Figher 3: Third Strike Groove
  • Capcom - Street Figher EX 3 Groove
  • Capcom - Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Groove (the only one with assists, delayed supers, and the like, but no tagging)
  • Capcom - Vampire Hunter Groove
  • Capcom - Vampire Savior Groove (this would be weird with only one life per character anyways, but 99 stocks...)
  • Capcom - Rival Schools Groove
  • Classical Groove (no super bar, air juggle, air block, chain combo, etc.)

Six buttons for Capcom, Four for SNK This is to make both Capcom and SNK camps happy... What the other two buttons do when playing SNK characters, I guess extra taunt buttons...

On-the-fly order Hold down buttons to determine your starter for a 2 or 3 character team (P or K for two characters, L, M, or H for three characters), and for 3 character teams, once the first player is KOed, hold buttons for your second character (again, P or K).

Multiple endings per play When you beat the final boss, you should get the ending for all surviving team members, even if they conflict.

Storyline Include mid-game cutscenes, full end-game cutscenes, and a real story.

What I want to see with existing CvSNK charactersNewest versions I think that both rosters should have their newest move sets. For example, Chun-Li's Shichisei Senkuu Kyaku super or Dan's Chohatsu Shinwa super :D .

Mode changes Just like in MvC2, as a level 3 super, characters like Ryu or Iori shuld change into their alternate forms. Plus, they keep their forms between matches.

Redraw the Capcom characters Seriously, they really need it. The entire Darkstalker cast as well as the Alpha cast needs to be redrawn to a certain extent.

Athena Again, get a new costume.

Who I want to add or take out in CvS3
Frankly, I think no one should be taken out. So let's move on.

One character Chang and Choi should be two characters, and that goes for Mature and Vice, as well as Yun and Yang.

One common boss If Capcom and SNK could collaborate to make one ultra (cheap and powerful) boss, that would be interesting.

And now the new characters:
Keeping in mind there must be parity between Capcom and SNK, my short list (my long list would have about 50 per side) would be as follows:

What new modes of play I would like in CvS3Dramatic Team Battle Home version only, up to four players (each with a team of up to three) can duke it out in whatever teams (of players) they want, and new characters just jump kick on screen once one is done. Otherwise, same as the Dramatic Battles in the Street Fighter Zero series.

Tag Tournament Battle Pick a two player tag team and move up a randomly generated tournament ladder. For those who would want to see brutal tag combat with Capcom and SNK characters.

Olympic Mode Home versions only. Capcom vs. SNK minigames like a side-scroller (Final Fight style), just anything where you can use your fighting characters for some useful purpose. Just no Capcom vs. SNK Puzzle Fighter, thank you very much.

Time attack mode Why not? Also keep fastest round times (from Samurai Showdown) and other statistics.

Ultimate Ratio Mode Pick either Capcom or SNK sides and engage in a giant (ratio 4) team battle with their entire roster against the entire other roster. Look at the dead bodies after it's all done. Good for people who want to try everyone out.

What stages I'd like to see in CvSNK 3
South Town, Metro City, those setting stages, as well as, with a secret code, one hidden stage per character (for example, Rolento's elevator)

What music I'd like to hear in CvSNK 3
A new mix of all kinds of music, but also include as a secret each character's classic music as a secret.

I would like to see more previously 3D characters in 2D format, like Kyosuke from Rival Schools. Adding Akira, Edge, Hinata, Batsu and Tiffany would be a good idea. Also, some Power Stone characters need to make it into the mix, like Falcon/Fokker, Jack, Rouge, Wang Tang, and Ryoma.
Maybe a "Power Stone" mode would be funny if they could work it in... imagine a one-on-one, knocking stones from each other, and if you got all three you would automatically perform your highest level super. If it was a Power Stone character, they would go into their Power forms first. Could work.
I would also like to see Team Up! or Party Up! Attacks, a la Rival Schools.

I also dream of 3D characters making appearances as 2D charas. Imagine if there's an ultimate 2D fighting games with charas from all fighting games (including MK, Tekken, etc.) in 2D glory!!!!

What I wouldlike in a CvS3? Let's see. I would like to see more characters. They could make it a less boring. I mean, I like the game, but after awhile it gets boring. The A.I. becomes cheesy and predictable. That's why it needs more characters. Get rid of the ratios, simply balance out the characters. Keep the 3 on 3, team and 1 on 1 fights. But, do this. Have the 3 on 3 and team fights allow for assists like in Kof 2001. Give the game a bit more of the Alpha 3 juggling ability, it seems that these combos are a bit limited. Produce the game at a higher resolution. Give it a mutli-platform release, so everyone will be able to get a copy of this game. Add more characters from non-fightings like the did for MvC2.

More people from garou and from both worlds like kyo and autogaurd and ryu and denji hado need to have all moves and properties at there disposal.

cvs2 was still not a straight up fight in my opinon.

i think they should keep grooves, they seperate the games from other fighters. some redrawn old backgrounds, i really like the akuma/evil ryu stage from zero 3, redraw some capcom charachters of course, so the fit in. k, mature, kaede, have kyo with both suits, depending what button you press is the outfit yu get, actually do this with alot of charachters, kim jae hoon and dong hwan. dimitri. andy. ikari team. and kula, those are all i can think of at the moment.

Those were the same ideas I had for a Street Fighter4 game,but oh well.I think for the SNK & Capcom boss teams stages,each character should have there own music.Also the characters should have taunts that would give them certain power-ups (a la SF3:3rd strike)

I agreed with a lot of your posts, except for some of the character pairings... there are others that just make more obvious sense.

Eiji is a ninja... and so isn't Geki from the original SF. Or Ibuki froim SFIII...

Feels kind of silly fighting Vega with Haohmaru
...They just don`t belong there
