My soundtrack collection consist of both Capcom and SNK music so, I like both. As far as fighting game tunes goes; Vampire series all the way (It is my favorite fighter afterall!). The tunes fit well with the characters and stages.

Ast don't always go over that well for me. Most of my favorite SNK tunes seemed butchered in the arranged versions (Yuri's AOF 2 theme still stands out as the worse!).

I prefer Gill, Urien, Gouki, Yun/Yang, Sean/Oro, and Q. Really incredible music.

As far as who's better - it's painful, but SNK has only gotten worse since 1996 when it comes to fighters. It all started in 1997 with KoF 97. They had a few good tunes but then fucked up with the atmosphere music that they implemented in sacrifice to the usual team/character themes. The only bright spot since then was with Last Blade 1 and 2 (more 2 than 1), and Samurai 64 2. Real Bout 2, MotW, KoF 98 (same shit different game), kof 99, 2000, and fucking the worse ever 2001. It's sad. Metal Slug has been really good, and I honestly liked the music in all the non-fighter. Blazing Star, Shock Troopers 1, 2.

Now with Capcom, their music was fucking lame for a long time. They only recently got better with SFA2. However, the versus series can suck my left one.

This is a tough call, but I'll have to go with SNK. The KOF series alway shas kick ass music, Rugal's music in KOF '95 still makes me go psycho! But, Street Fighter Zero 3's soundtrack is awsome! :D

My pick: Capcom

I think SNK's music fit the mood, while Capcom ones are more memorable.

Best SNK music: the traditional Geese music, any Last Blade music, Athena music, Japan '96 music, and of course any Terry or Duck music. The rest of the music were drowned out by me either kicking butt or getting butt kicked.

Best Cap music: Karin (SFA3), any Sakura music, any Guy or Rolento music, Ryu (SFA3), Chun-Li (XvSF), Dan (Puzzle Fighter), Feast of the Damned (DS3), any Morrigan, Lilith, or Hsien-Ko music, Donovan (Puzzle Fighter).

SNK, although I do enjoy Capcom music for some games.

But the MvC2 Jazz shit is stupid.

I like both SNK & Capcom's music as of late.Capcom with their hip-hop style for 3rd strike & SNK for their kick-ass tracks like all the Geese theme songs & Mr.Big's theme.Capcom put out some good tracks for Darkstalkers.Fetus Of God rules!!!!!Lord Raptor'ending theme & track,Demitri,Morrigan,Talbain & Donovan's from Darkstalkers2 are the best to me.

BTW Does anyone where I can download the Darkstalker2 soundtrack?I want to download Donovan's ending theme.I BARELY heard it once at an arcade of mine.

I have the Vampire Hunter OST. I could rip the whole thing and send it to you; but I can only send MP3s through AIM.

When I first read this post subject, the New Face Team song popped right in my head. At which point, I thought "oh, SNK hands down". Wait a minute.... Yeah, SNK has some GREAT music (hell, play KOF98), but then so does capcom. The old Mega Man songs for the time were great. And then, look at SF3 third strike. I love the music in that thing. The options rap, the picking a character screen, and all the music in it. The techno/rap thing they had going on in that is great. Also, look at some of the older classics like Final Fight and so on. Pretty good stuff. And, of course, Capcom vs SNK (both) had some neat stuff too.

So, I would have to say it's a tie for me. If I HAD to pick one? Hmmm, I think Tung Fu Rue's stage musics would break the tie for me. Something about the music in FFS in his level that I just can't shake. Too badass (in a kung fu movie sort of way).

Now if it were between these guys and Sega? Hell, the SOR soundtrackS would win it for them right there. Nevermind the killer stuff with PSO 2/4/online, Sonic, and Eternal Champions.

I hear many kinds of music, but no techno and not too hard metal or hard rock stuff!</strong><hr></blockquote>

HANDS DOWN the best music to come from Germany in MY opinion? Das Ich. Holy shit is that some good industrial. Oh baby.

Thats not true about MvC2 music. That music was tight, except for the ice stage in the DC version, it sucked. To answer the question, I like both. Capcom with the MvC2 music and Power Stone 2 and SNK with the KOF 95' music
