Personally, I happen to think this is one of the more exciting topics this forum has seen in awhile (even though the whole Rom user shit gets annoying) btw, or do you like stuff like "Cutest guy in KOF", "Who has the biggest tallywhacker in KOF", and "Strap between Iori's legs"?

Allright god knows why I digested this thread but let me make a point to Elmers and anyone else not getting this message.

This is a Neo*Geo site.

Not a Neo*Geo Romz site.

If you want to talk about playing Games with Roms then please go elsewhere for it. This isn't the place to talk about weather or not roms are good or bad.

Let me add to it a bit more so maybe Elmers can understand this point of view.

There are a ton of Rom sites and discussion boards on the Net to where you can discuss roms or emulators of Videogame Hardware and software for the Neo.

However, Actual sites dedicated to the original SNK products produced and made by SNK are literally non existant.

So in that light you should be able to understand why the majority of people here hate rom talk because to them it's like a virus infecting what's left of an original hobby to the people here.

I personally don't give two shit one way or the other but seriously, go elsewhere for rom discussions.

It's not wanted nor welcome here.

1) This is definitely NOT a site for KOF fans: Think about it, most people on this bbs don't know shit about KOF or even care since they're just COLLECTORS and POSEURS and not real KOFers. In fact, the KOF forum didn't even exist in the "original" NG.com, it was created when ON merged with NG. Ever wonder why?

2) Rom basher == IDIOT. Wanna see proof? I'll give ya proof:

yeah I'm a KoF fan regardless of romz or not, I was hoping I could talk about KoF and whatnot here. But I get bashed for using romz. There are only a few people that I know of so far who post here regularly that I think REALLY love KoF for the gameplay and not cause they own it on the Neo or the rom. Posters like Body Rip, Ray7, and Hyde come to mind here. Then there are cool posters here who have great taste and shit like Yung Burnout, then there are cool peeps I talk to outside of the boards like SPINMASTER X and Lord Wolfgang Krauser.
Your right this is a collectors site, nothing more. This isn't my place, I hope your happy now cause I'm going to probably just leave now. I'll goto Orochinagi, where KoF gameplay is discussed wether it's from a rom user or a Neo user. All I care about is SNK's games, not on what medium people play them on.
too_short, orochi_invisibleink, spike spiegel, you guys can go ahead and flame me, I don't give a shit anymore. I don't even feel like replying to whatever flames you guys want to say anymore. The others here that hate romz don't just try to annihilate someone in a flame, they will at least understand both sides. There is noway around trying to explain anything to you. I bet if I knew you in real life or something, you would probably hate my guts without even knowing my personality.

I can't really afford to buy as much kof crap as I do, but I do because I'm a hard core fan. Thanks to people like us (here at the site), KOF keeps going on, so little shits like elmers can keep playing for free. Think of roms as a welfare check. SOMEBODY's gotta be payin' the bills.

How anyone can question my fanhood of the series because I DON'T play roms is insane... at best.

I love KoF so much that I will resort to any means of getting them, because they aren't around here in MVS cabs. I haven't seen an MVS cab in about 10 years! I love KoF too much to not be able to play the newer games of the series. I want to be able to play the game at their highest times. And I want competition with it too! Since there aren't any arcades around my area that have them, I play on kaillera. I'm sorry I don't have the money to buy a Neo, I have to use my money to pay for college. I'm barely making it financially in college, I'm in band and have no time to get a job in between. My parents are in a middle of a fucking divorce after being married for 20 years, which I am 19 going on 20. Money is tight right now.
This site is for mostly collectors, and collector/players. There is no room for simply players like myself, because I am not collecting the Neo. I had to take flames yet I've never made a topic about having romz myself, or anything of that sort. I love KoF and I was interested in the videos that Elmers had, because I love KoF.

KOF gets going on cause people play it on the arcade, I already told you that. And I'll tell you MY point: all I see on this thread is a group of comrades of mine (KOFers) getting badmouthed for no good reason at all by a bunch of people ignorant enough not to be able to tell the difference between MAME32k inp files and romzzz. As simple as that, that's how I see it...
