oh c'mon. Iori is a bishounen (pretty boy)character, just like Kyo, and Benimaru. They only added that aspect to his character bio to drive the otaku girls who are in love with him crazy. It's the same kind of thing as when benimaru turns toward the screen and says "I love you," or any of the other "sexy" poses. The're just catering to the bishounen fans out there. thus, it really does not matter who this girlfriend we keep hearing about is. she's just there for effect.
