Yes - there is another version

I found them this morning in one of the sets of motherboard boxes. They are very similar to the version that will only play Samurai series games, but there is a large volume control on the front chassis and 2 connectors - one for external power output and the other for 2 sound channels post amplification.

This is good news as the wiring on this board has enabled us to hook up another 500 motherboards for the Samurai only motherboards.

Jeff that is the one I bought from you in 2000 I think, when you first got the Hypers and Fatal Fury WA in, just after you first ran the Virtua Fighter 3 and 3TB special deals..

Cost me £250 if I recall, back in the old days

Nice find, Jeff :)

How many Hyper Boards are there now?
Fighter Rev1
Fighter Rev2
Samurai Board1
Samurai Board2
Racing Board
Shooter Board

Do these also exist both in US and JP version?

Now I'm really confused. Please help me get this straight in my head.

Here is the US Hyper64 board:

Now, are you saying that there are these US boards:

1) Fighting version - plays all fighter games
2) Samurai Showdown version - plays only SamSho games
3) NEW Samurai Showdown version - plays only SamSho games

If this is right, how can you tell by looking at the board itself?

Next is the Japanese Hyper64 board:

How many versions of this are there? Again, how can you tell the differences by looking at the board? Obviously the difference between US and Japanese is easy.

Please help lay this out so we can know what is what and how many versions there are.

Hi

Maybe a bit off topic but I'm after a hyper board with games like on vektorlogic's site, I am from the UK so tried phoning but the phone number is now not in use so what's the best way of getting intouch to purchase one and is there a board that plays all the games not just one kind.

Thanks..... <img src="graemlins/help.gif" border="0" alt="[Help]" />

Horris:
Try sending an eMail to Vektorlogic...the adresses are on the Homepage and still valid.

There is a system that plays all the fighting games (there are four of them).
The shooter Board (1 game, BeastBusters 2nd Nightmare) and the racing board (RoadsEdge, XTreme Rally) are relatively expensive and rare.
There is no Board that plays all 7 games.

The usual fighter board with all four games would be the best thing to get as it plays most games and isn't expensive at all.

Hi

Thanks alot for the info, the fighting board is the one i've been looking at on the site then which is for sale with three of the fighting games, i'll give the email address a try then and see if I get any luck I know he mentioned on an earlier post that he was going to be doing some special offers soon so heres hoping he puts a package together with all four hyper fighting games and a multi jamma kit so that I can still have my six slot plugged in as well, that would be a nice setup, also are the games really good on the hyper as i've only managed to see a couple of screen shots and wondered if they are better than getting say a king of fighters 2001 maybe.

Thanks for the help.... :D
