I posted this a while back in general & need to see if theres still enough interest before I take the time to do it

Basically, I am recording on VHS footage of every Hyper game, & beating the game with 1 character per game so people can see what the Hyper can/cant do.

My idea is to allow people here on the boards to 'sign up' to receive the tape so we can mail it from viewer to viewer (media mail here in US is like $1.50).

How many people will be up for this? I need to make sure theres demand before I beat all 4 games on tape :p

since i'm currently very interested in hng64, yes, i would love to get this tape full of footage from all hyper games...

and as others said, it would also be a great idea if you can also post it online...

maybe i'm asking too much, but if it could be burnt into VCD/DVD, then it would be even better.

A VCD would be cheaper and easier to ship. That way we could easily make a copy of the disc and watch it at our leisure. It is also cheaper (about 30 cents a disc) and wouldn't be as bad if it were to get damaged in the mail. Putting it up on the net would also be a good idea. I have never seen a working Neo 64 - I am all for it.

I would be interested in the videos. But as Ray7 said, a VCD or even DVD would be awesome!

Hmmmm, great suggestions, but heres the facts.

I really only have the ability to record onto a VHS tape using composite video & mono sound, the quality is still good though. Thing is I have no way of digitizing the video, as I have no vid capture card. Anyone know of a service that can transfer video tape to DVD? Thats the thing too, I really cant put too much $$$$ into this.

Uploading the file & making it available for d/l is a pain too, the file would be HUGE....

Any ideas? Anybody out there who could volunteer to receive the tape & digitize it onto VCD, DVD, etc......?

That'll be the best solution I think. Since I live in Europe shipping for the video tape would be kinda expensive.
If someone could set up a FTP server where the videos will be available...

Is the FFWA Intro the Hyper64 Intro or the PS1-rendered-intro??

Hi,

You should definately put it online or getting the video will cost as much as buying the system...

Lee, how was your progress in creating the video?

I really can't wait, I want them so much that I might as well get a Hyper system for myself!!

Just curious, does Hyper only have that 4 fighting games or are there more?

The video is complete & will ship out to ashram today

ray_7 - yup, only 4 fighters were created, all of them are very playable though IMO with a lot of replay value.....still maybe only for the hardcore though, considering the price.....

Yes, compression would take forever and still leave you with a huge file, if you want any kind of quality whatsoever. When I was making videos of myself playing that was the big issue. I had to compress it twice. :(

My advice - record to VCR, make sure the gameplay is as expeditious as possible (for sake of time and space), and then move it to digital on your pc. I would do this but ever since I graduated, I no longer need to procrastinate by doing constructive things. I just play games now.
