Playmore - Now selling snap lock cases!

Did your heart skip a beat when you read that? This can become a reality if you want it badly enough. Many of us want it, we just haven't got the balls to do it. Or do we? NGF sells inserts and Big Bear sells shock boxes. Since I cannot get the originals, I must resort to going to a 3rd party as many of you have as well. How many times have you gotten a game in the mail and the insert and box were both damaged? You would want another one, now wouldn't you.

As you all know, SNK would sell replacement boxes, inserts, and instruction manuals at generous prices. They are gone but many of the people who were at SNK are now at Playmore. If they want to charge $15 for a snap-lock case then that is fine. I am sure that many of you have tried to get one on ebay. They go for what, $40? I bet some of you have bought a Fatal Fury 3 just to get it's box to put your prised Last Blade 2 in. This shouldn't happen.

We must take a stand and demand that Playmore will sell us these boxes, inserts, and instruction manuals. I have sent them an email requesting these and so have a few others. If we send enough emails and keep the pressure up it will happen. If you can type posts on this page, then you damn well can send them an email. Here is their email address: info@playmore.co.jp
If you enjoy looking at your crapped out box then fine but for the rest of us we want and need these boxes. We are their supports and they need us, the consumer. Without us they would be nothing and they know it. So who stands with me?

Shawn wants $235 for that game. It got busted in the mail. He will never sell it in that condition and at that price. If he had a better box, it very well might sell. This is yet another reason why we need these boxes. The mail service has probably destroyed hundreds of these boxes all over the world. This request has been brought up before and answered before.

The only component that bootleggers are currently unable to reproduce is the new style case. They can print similar inserts, manuals, cart stickers, and even reproduce an old style case, but the new style case is what prevents AES bootlegs from going mainstream.

If these new style cases were readily available on the secondary market, this would only put a damper on the primary AES market. Besides, the Neo Store is already sitting on a thousand new style cases and they are currently being offered with new English release home cartridges.

Sure they send Shawn cases. I think he should ask for about 300 hundred blank ones so we can replace our damaged boxes. Perhaps he doesn't trust us and thinks that we are going to use them for bootlegs. How about Big Bear? He sells cases that can be used both ways. They are really only supposed to be used for MVS but I use them for AES games as well. Maybe I could use those cases and make inserts and start my own bootleg factory but using larger inserts. The cases are not going to stop the bootlegers. Evil will always happen but why ruin it for the rest of us who are honest Neo Geo gamers? Think about it. Money is out there to be made. With or without Playmore's support, this is going to happen.

A good idea with one problem.

Playmore is currently using up SNK stock. Playmore, as far as I am aware, have not produced any new batches of cases since taking over SNK. As soon as these supplys dry up, they may produce more or they may provide something completely different.

Until new batches are produced it's unlikely Playmore will release stock as they need the cases for new releases.

I suppose Shawn could always sell MS 3 US without the cart, insert and manual...

Nah.. There is no way in hell my cases and games can pass as "THE REAL DEAL" and those were my intentions for coming out with a RED and WHITE case.. I wanted to have something crerated that would compliment Neo Geo MVS games..Not support BOOTLEGGING.
The repro of SHOCK Inserts are usually different in design by the creator and if you choose to use an original insert YOU MUST RESIZE the insert to cover the whole face of the case.
Playmore will NEVER agree to producing cases and documentation because it would be DEFEATING their purpose of SELLING the games... They would be supplying BOOTLEGGERS with the MEANS to compete against them AND this WILL NOT HAPPEN.
