Okay,

We all want the AES 2 to come out right? Okay, Arcade, if you can give us an approximation of price for the unit and a somewhat firm date as in a couple months from now or whatever maybe the case, we could all stand behind that product and buy it. We all want it and I certainly could use a duel board setup for MVS and AES. So if you can give us any info at all would help benefit us as well as you. I will front money to you knowing that a product will be produced, I just need the above info and we can go from there.

Others are we in agreement here?

If Arcade wants to sell the friggin thing, then why dosent he himself get on the friggin board and say how much, when and make the specs a bit more friggin clear. Everyone and their mother seems to be putting up topics about "getting support" for the AES2 when Arcade themselves never give the subject the time of day. Its their own fault for not marketing the thing.

No flame intended with this post, but its just the facts.

Regarding the above:

We are certainly not avoiding the AES II question and will be answering any and all questions via our web site and easy access forums. We plan to be up and running the week of September 17, 2001 at which time we will also be offering for sale Neo products & services on a direct basis through our new on-line store.

We ask only that you give us a bit more time, we think you will be pleasantly surprised at what we have to offer.

Best regards

I look forward to seeing your website being operational, as I got tired of checking it before to find it non operational.

In all honesty, best of luck and I will be looking forward to your developments come September 17th.

The 'WAIT' time for figures is reasonable enough for me because this gives me a chance to prepare for whatever.
I -DO- want this system.
The Original Neo Geo is Cool but it's time for the AESII (Gotta change that name!!).
That was thee only product I was looking forward to checking out thus far.

The one thing I don't like about the AES-II is that it tries to be too much.

Here is what I think an AES-II should be (with MVS influence):

* Only accepts MVS Cartridges
* Has a Reset button and Power button
* Accepts memory cards
* S-Video and Stereo Out only
* 2 ports for SNES controllers

THATS IT! And sell it for $399.99 and I would be sold. This AES-II that is planned to come out just sounds like a mess. (ie: accepts mvs and aes, custom controllers, rgb out) Your just going to drive up the cost at a level that few can afford.

Think of how useful the AES II could be with all that neat extra stuff, though (esp the JAMMA harness). I'd RATHER pay a couple hundred bucks extra and get something truly unique and special, rather than shell out a smaller amount of money for something that would only have limited usage (ie: only MVS carts).

I really like the innovative ideas behind it. Think about all of the possibilities the system could open for the Neo community:

Those without room for a full cabinet could play MVS carts without the reduction in quality common with SuperGun systems...

We could all easily afford just about any cart, and make use of the JAMMA harness for other goodies like arcade PCB's or even Hyper Neo 64's!

The list goes on...

I prefer that !Arcade! takes their time and makes a quality product, and doesn't rush into anything (inluding answering questions that THEY may not even have answered yet). Good luck, !Arcade!..looking forward to it!

AES2 should have a CDROM drive and be able to read games roms directly rather CD Format... Then !ARCADE! would buy the rights for the games from SNK and release the games in ROM format on the CD... And there you go, cheap games for everyone...

Or...... they should just buy the rights for the games and port them to the PC... Playstation... Dreamcast or whatever... much more potential buyers there!

You know I think we need to really get behind !ARCADE! to try and make this AES II a reality.

I really believe we'll regret not doing so.
Can you imagine the Neo Geo RE-BORN, Loaded down with everything you need!?!
I'm not motivated to build a Super Gun because I don't play that much..and an MVS board attached to an RGB is not pretty <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
I can't wait for the !ARCADE! site to OPEN UP on the 13th!
I really believe that !ARCADE! should have established there website 1st before announcing AESII,The summit,etc but this is all water under the bridge..
we must move forward and I just hope alot of people get behind this project.

So with the Jamma harness that is talked about as a feature of the AES II, besides allowing it to serve as a MVS board in a jamma cabinet, does the connection allow the use of other arcade PCBs in the same way a Super Gun set-up would? From some of the talk on the boards, it sounds like the AES II among many other features would also serve as a Super Gun for the playing of arcade boards on a regular tv setup. Is this true??
