Gedo is indeed the head booker but the focus on the American style nearly killed NJPW when WCW collapsed. The late 90s were a hot period for NJPW but after WCW died and NJPW stopped using their talent and angles the company nearly died. It wasn't until guys like Tanahashi and Nakamura started returning the product to a traditional style that it recovered.

Both of you are entirely backwards.

After WCW died, Inoki went full retard and decided to make it more MMA based. It's why Bob Sapp was IWGP champion at one point. Once NJPW got bought out, Tanahashi took it to a whole other level.

Yeah, Inoki went nuts and still is nuts. Inoki Genome Federation is still around but you never really hear anything about them.

Paige’s in-ring career with WWE is over, as first reported by PWInsider this afternoon and since confirmed independently by PWTorch. Sources tell PWTorch that, due to her latest neck injury, she was told she will not be cleared to wrestle again for WWE.

Paige, real name Saraya-Jade Bevis, is just 25 years old. She had neck surgery in October 2016.

At a house show a couple weeks ago, she was kicked in the back by Sasha Banks and went down and didn’t get up. The match was stopped and she was helped from the ring.

The video of that is pretty nasty looking:

That's a stiff shot, but it seems like the timing/communication is off more than anything. Paige doesn't brace or give or anything.

Well it seems that you follow the product very closely so I can't argue if
I don't have all the facts you know what I mean, brother?

Haven't other wrestlers been hurt by such a kick to the back?

Probably happens all the time however Paige had neck surgery recently so it was likely an unlucky kick that she didn't anticipate happening. The injury that she sustained is similar in nature that forced Edge to retire. Also while the WWE won't medically clear her to wrestle again, Paige could compete somewhere else however I doubt any other organization would take a chance.

There are plenty of shady independent promoters out there that will take the chance to make a good gate one night. Now if something were to happen to her if she did something like that would be horrible as those places are not going to provide health care to somebody hurt. I hope she takes the wake up call and does not bump again because at only 25 she has her whole life left ahead of her and risking something like paralysis just isn't worth it.

Mia Khalifa at last night's Sabotage Wrestling show. She's going "against" Joey Ryan.

Rewatched In your House: Canadian Stampede this weekend.

The crowd was the hottest I've ever seen, only ECW One Night Stand and Money in the Bank 2011 come close.

Quite possibly the most perfect two hours of wrestling ever produced.
