WWE NXT Results: 2-1-12

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to James's complete report). Condensed here to in-ring results only.

1 - TRENT BARRETA vs. TYSON KIDD

With the right amount of time, this match could be and should be top notch. Kidd overpowers Barreta in some early mat wrestling and Kidd tries to use strength to pin Barreta, who is able to stay off the mat.

Barreta with arm drags and a wrist lock to turn things around. Barreta chops Kidd, but Kidd fires back with kicks. Barreta with a step-up enziguri. Barreta with his rope-walking elbow drop on Kidd in the corner, but charges again, only to eat a jumping side kick. Kidd covers for two. Barreta slips out of a suplex and when Kidd charges him in the corner, counters with boots. Barreta lands the Gobstopper Knee for a nearfall.

Kidd shrugs off the Dudebuster DDT and lands a big kick to the head from the apron. William Regal is amazing in the booth, talking about how he gets regular reports from Bret Hart about Tyson Kidd so he knows more about Kidd than Barreta. Seriously, how much more can you elevate someone from the booth than to say that Bret Hart talks them up? Kidd looks for a moonsault, but Barreta crotches him, and looks for a belly-to-back superplex. Kidd shoves him off, but Barreta jumps up and lands a snap huracanrana with a roll-through to a cover, but Kidd rolls right though and covers for the pin.

WINNER: Tyson Kidd in 4:00. Seriously, if WWE is going to have a "we respect each other, so let's team up" angle on NXT, can it be Trent Barreta and Tyson Kidd instead of Darren Young and Titus O'Neil? This match wasn't nearly long enough, but what was there impressed.

2 - ALICIA FOX vs. MAXINE (w/Derrick Bateman)

Maxine with a waistlock and a Thesz Press for total domination of Fox. Johnny Curtis then comes out to yell at Maxine and Fox scores with a quick schoolgirl for the pin.

WINNER: Alicia Fox in 0:30.

3 - ALEX RILEY & PERCY WATSON vs. DARREN YOUNG & TITUS O'NEIL

Young and Watson start off and feel each other out. Early back-and-forth with lots of chain wrestling. Quick powerslam from Watson sends Young to the outside looking for relief, then Watson lands a slingshot dive over the top rope onto Young. Very impressive to see that from someone Watson's size.

Riley is dominating Young back from break. The faces keep Young isolated for a bit. Watson sends Young to the outside with a dropkick, then meets Young on the apron, where Young turns things around with a side suplex on the apron.

Young covers for two. O'Neil tags in and the heels isolate Watson for a stretch. Watson goes berserk and tries to fight out, but O'Neil tags in and cuts off the comeback. Watson finally is able to make the hot tag and Riley cleans house on Young, with a big spinebuster and a float-over DDT, but O'Neil breaks up the pin. Watson throws O'Neil out of the ring and they brawl ringside. O'Neil blind-tags in. Riley hits a flapjack on Young, but O'Neil ambushes him and lands the Clash of the Titus for the win.

WINNER: Darren Young & Titus O'Neil in 9:00. This match felt really formulaic for the most part. But, one of Watson's comebacks was really on fire, and Riley's hot tag work was very nice. I'd like to see Riley and Watson team up long-term, as they both have charisma and have a very fast style despite their size.

WWE Superstars Results: 2-2-12

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to James's complete report). Condensed here to in-ring results only.

1 - YOSHI TATSU vs. JINDER MAHAL

The Smackdown brand gets the first match of the show. Mahal hits the ropes to yell at Tatsu, then attacks with knees to the gut. Tatso with a cross body block and a Japanese arm drag, followed by a dropkick. Tatsu with hard chops in the corner, but Mahal cheap shots him on the corner break.

Mahal with lots of knees and a two count. Mahal gets in his rope-based offense combination. Mahal with a double underhook suplex for two, and a rear chinlock. Tatsu fights out but runs into Mahal's knee. Mahal goes back on the attack. Tatsu can't get any traction. Tatsu gets momentum with rapid strikes, and a big knee in the corner. Tatsu with a Shining Wizard for two. Tatsu then goes to the top rope, but Mahal ducks the spinning heel kick, knees Tatsu in the back of the head, and calls for the end. Camel Clutch and Tatsu quickly taps.

WINNER: Jinder Mahal in 6:00. I liked this match a lot. Mahal and Tatsu matched very well, and many parts came across like a martial arts exhibition, not a wrestling match. I just wish Mahal had a character that I could sink my teeth into. On commentary, Josh Mathews is really not clicking, as he isn't even calling the moves by their correct names.

2 - KELLY KELLY and ALICIA FOX vs. THE BELLA TWINS

How about a Kharma run-in, please? The Bellas mocked Kelly early on. Fox tags in and helps Kelly take them to ringside, then throws Bella into the ring. Fox with a springing butsplash out of the corner, which was unique. Bella hotshots Fox and goes back to work. The other Bella tags in and starts torquing Fox on the ropes. The Bellas isolate Fox, who kicks them out of the ring when they rub their rumps on her face. But, one is able to cut her off before Kelly can tag in.

Kelly tags in and lands an ugly top rope Thesz Press. Kelly with her head scissors and does the butt shake in the corner. Bella shrugs off a bulldog, but Kelly is able to kick her and hit the K2 leg drop. Fox stops the other Bella from interfering, and Kelly gets the win.

WINNERS: Kelly & A. Fox. The Bellas did fine, but the less said about Kelly Kelly, the better.

3 -- U.S. champion JACK SWAGGER (w/Vickie Guerrero) vs. R-TRUTH -- non-title match

Swagger hits a belly-to-back suplex on Truth and does the victory lap to get some heat. Truth and Swagger trade locks and holds. Truth dances, does a split to duck Swagger, and gets a heel kick for a two count. Swagger with some offense to punish Truth. Swagger with a big leg drop for two. Truth makes a comeback and lands a hip toss, then a leg drop, but Swagger rolls out of the ring when Truth wants to cover. Truth with a slingshot splash on Swagger at ringside.

Truth in control out of the break, sending Swagger to the corner. Truth with a big slap to Swagger. Guerrero then jaws at Truth from the apron, allowing Swagger to knock Truth down and land the Swagger Bomb. Swagger then chokes Truth in the ropes. Swagger with a nasty-looking chicken wing, but Truth won't tap. Truth fights out, but Swagger blasts him with a big boot for a two count. Swagger lands heavy punches in the corner. Swagger elbows Truth on the mat, then does push-ups on Truth's back.

Truth with a full comeback and scores with a head scissors take down for two. Swagger trips Truth and tries for the Anklelock, but Truth gets out. Truth whiffs on a scissors kick and Swagger shoulder tackles him. Swagger with another shoulder tackle. Swagger Bomb blocked, but Swagger rolls through into an Anklelock. Truth then rolls through to send Swagger into the turnbuckle face-first. Truth with the Little Jimmy finisher for the win.

WINNER: R-Truth in 8:00. This looks like the beginning of an R-Truth-Jack Swagger feud over the U.S. Title. Decent-enough match, and Swagger made Truth look good. Truth is slowly ditching the crazy persona, and returning to his previous gimmick, which was much more bland and generic, in my opinion.

TNA Impact Wrestling Results: 2-2-12

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to Turner's complete report). Condensed here to in-ring results only.

1-- TNA tag champions MATT MORGAN & CRIMSON vs. SAMOA JOE & MAGNUS -- non-title Buckingham Brawl

Jeremy Borash announced the rules of the match, which were that winning team of a coin toss would be favored with a “one-man advantage” in the ring, while the other team would have to abide by standard tag team rules. Morgan called heads while the coin was in the air only to have it land with the tails side up. As the ref called for the bell, a big “Joe” chant broke out.

Crimson started out in the ring with Joe and Magnus, and he fell victims to the numbers game. The crowd was very in favor of Joe and Magnus, as they yelled out “woo” for each chop to chest that was delivered to Crimson in the corner. Crimson mounted some offense, but Magnus and Joe proved to be too much for the undefeated wrestler. The crowd broke into a “Joe's gonna kill you” chant. Crimson dodged a splash from Joe in the corner, hit Magnus with a t-bone suplex, and then tagged Morgan in. Morgan got some offense in and hit Magnus with a fall-away suplex for a close pin that was broken up by Joe.

The action started getting all over the place until Morgan was left in the ring with Joe and Magnus. Magnus hit Morgan with an elbow drop off the second rope after a kick in the corner from Joe for the pin.

WINNERS: Samoa Joe and Magnus by pinfall at 4:05.

2 -- X Division champion AUSTIN ARIES vs. MARK HASKINS -- non-title match

Mark Haskins came out first to respectable response, but they popped big for Austin Aries. The match started out with Aries getting the better of Haskins in the opening minute.

The crowd broke into a huge “Austin Aries” chant that was acknowledged by Taz. In fact, they booed Haskins when he got on the offense. The two wrestlers attempting throwing each other out the ring, but both held on. Haskins went for a springboard attempt that was cut short by Aries, which led to him falling to the outside. Aries hit a splash off the top rope onto the outside. Aries threw Haskins back into the ring and hit a senton from the the apron for a two count.

Haskins hit a monkey flip on Aries, but Aries put the brakes on a second attempt. Haskins came back with a cutter maneuver for a close two count. Haskins went for a Shooting Star Press off the top rope, which he missed in a fashion akin to Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania 19 botch. Aries capitalized on Haskins’s error with a kick to the face, a brainbuster, and then the Last Chancery submission. Afterward, Aries made his way to the back holding his title as Haskins slowly recovered in the ring.

WINNER: Austin Aries by submission at 4:46.

3 -- TNA World Hvt. champion BOBBY ROODE vs. JAMES STORM -- non-title match

Storm and Roode started the match with a stare down before shooting straight into a lock-up. The wrestlers exchanged hammerlocks until Roode caught Storm with an elbow to the face. Storm regained the advantage with a knee drop into a leg drop for a two count. Roode took a powder and left the ring as the crowd chanted “Let's Go Cowboy.”

The show came back with Storm chopping Roode in the corner. The announcers hyped next week’s “Star Wars” themed edition of Impact in the U.K. Roode took the the advantage with a shoulder tackle in the corner, followed by a front suplex. Roode hit a few kicks to the mid-section for a two count and then followed with a gut wrench on Storm. Storm scored with a roll-up for a two count, followed by the former tag partners exchanging punches.

Roode took to the top rope, but was a cut off by an uppercut. Storm then hit a top rope huracanrana for another two count. After taking Roode down again, Storm hit a top-rope elbow drop for a close two count. After an exchange of moves between the two wrestlers, Roode came out on top, putting Storm in the crossface. Storm rolled through and was able to reach the ropes.

As Roode went for the Fisherman Suplex, Storm reversed into an attempted Eye of the Storm. Roode escaped and hit the Fisherman Suplex for a two count. Roode tried to hit Storm with World Heavyweight Title belt, but was cut off by a Codebreaker from Storm. Bully Ray came out to distract Storm, which opened him up for a spear from Roode for the three count.

WINNER: Bobby Roode by pinfall at 13:54.

Ray hit Storm with a Rock Bottom on the title, which led to Sting running out the ring. The heels then bowed out to the back as Sting helped up a dazed Storm.

4 -- Knockouts champion/KO tag champion GAIL KIM vs. TARA -- non-title match

The match started with Tara shoving Kim to the floor. Tara hit multiple armdrags before hitting a scoop slam, followed by a standing moonsault for two. Kim got Tara in the corner and hit her with a high velocity splash. Kim used Tara’s bad knee to put her into a submission. Tara broke free, but was quickly put down by Kim with a clothesline. After a few exchanges between the two, Kim took to the top rope for a dropkick, but missed. Tara then landed a few strikes, followed by a suplex and a back body drop. Madison Rayne tried to get involved, but accidentally hit Kim. This left Kim open for the Widow’s Peak from Tara for the win.

WINNER: Tara by pinfall at 4:55.

5 -- BULLY RAY vs. JAMES STORM

Ray came out first, followed by Storm with his abdomen area taped up. Once the bell rang, Ray took note of Storm’s taped-up section and taunted him by telling him he was going to inflict further damage to his already injured area. Another “We want Devon” chant broke out as Ray took Storm to the corner. Ray trash-talked Storm, which led to Storm spitting in Ray’s face. Ray took advantage of Storm’s injury and dropped him abdominal-first across the top rope. Ray put Storm in the Camel Clutch, going as far as to fish hook Storm’s mouth. After a scoop slam by Ray, Bobby Roode made his way out from the back.

As the show came back from commercial, Ray was slapping Storm across the chest. Sting was shown making his way to the ring with a paddle in hand. The announcers once again hyped next week’s “Star Wars” themed show and they talked about Abyss’s absence since the Genesis PPV. Ray kept attacking Storm’s injured area, shutting down any offense Storm tried to mount. Yet another “We want Devon” chant broke out. Ray missed a back senton off the second rope, allowing Storm to take the offensive.

After a flurry of offense, Storm hit a cross-body off the top rope for a close two count. Storm reversed an Irish Whip into the corner, which led to Ray taking out the referee. Roode tried to sneak in, but Sting quickly put a stop to it. Storm hit the superkick for the win.

WINNER: James Storm by pinfall at 13:48.

Afterward, Sting and Storm celebrated in the ring to close out the show.

WWE Smackdown Results: 2-3-12

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to Parks' complete report). Condensed here to in-ring results only.

1 – SHEAMUS vs. CODY RHODES

This match was joined in progress, with Rhodes working the crowd from in the ring. Back-and-forth action early on, but Sheamus clubbed Rhodes over the chest while Cody was in the ropes. Rhodes fell to ringside just over a minute in. Cody sent Sheamus into the ringpost, then hit Beautiful Disaster by springboarding off the barricade. Nice change-of-pace for that move. Back in the ring, Rhodes connected on a top-rope moonsault for a near-fall. Rhodes worked Sheamus’ arm, then came off the second rope with a bulldog on Sheamus for two. Sheamus began to come back, hitting his signature Irish Hammers. Powerslam for a two-count. To the top went Sheamus. Rhodes went to meet him but Sheamus shoved him off. Flying shoulder tackle took Rhodes down. Each man countered the others’ signatures and finishers until Sheamus hit Finlay’s Celtic Cross, apparently a new move added to his repertoire, for the win.

WINNER: Sheamus, 5:10 shown. Solid enough match, though I wonder if they’ll address Sheamus not being in the Chamber – sure, he has a title shot at ‘Mania, but should that really preclude him from fighting for it before ‘Mania?

2 – SANTINO MARELLA & “HACKSAW” JIM DUGGAN vs. PRIMO & EPICO

Loud “USA” chant before the match began. Santino with a single-arm take-down, then a tag to Duggan. HE connected on some of his legendary right hands. The announcers talked about him winning the first Royal Rumble. Primo and Epico took over on offense and Primo got the first cover, for only a one-count. Duggan was stuck in a rear chin-lock as the fans chanted “USA” to help him out. Booker said Duggan shouldn’t be in the ring, but he loves it too much. Duggan got the advantage in the corner and tagged Santino. Marella hit his diving headbutt for two, but Epico broke up the pin. Duggan took care of him, then Santino set up for his Cobra. Rosa Mendes got on the apron to distract Marella, but it was unsuccessful. Still, Marella missed the Cobra and Primo hit the Backstabber for the win. Duggan cleared the ring with his 2x4 after the match.

WINNERS: Primo and Epico, at 2:23. I don’t mind Santino’s partner-of-the-week gimmick, as long as it keeps the tag champs on TV and picking up wins. Of course, if WWE actually had any more tag teams, they wouldn’t have to resort to Santino picking a new one each week.

3 – TAMINA & AKSANA vs. NATALYA & BETH PHOENIX

Tamina was already in the ring, but Aksana got an entrance. Bodyslam by Natalya on Aksana, then she knocked Tamina off the apron. DDT attempt, but Aksana was thrown off. The landing did not sound good and didn’t look great either. Beth tagged herself in and gave Aksana the Glam Slam.

WINNERS: Natalya and Phoenix, at :44. A little surprised they jobbed Aksana out so quickly. I thought they’d give her a few more fluke wins.

An upset Natalya tried to put Aksana in the Sharpshooter after the match, but Tamina kicked her in the face, then hit a splash off the top rope.

4 – WADE BARRETT vs. RANDY ORTON – NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH

Mathews plugged an interview with Orton in WWE Magazine, on newsstands today. Barrett peppered Orton with right hands and Orton fired back with European uppercuts. Suplex by Orton, who then stomped Barrett a few times. Barrett was thrown over the top rope and to the floor at 1:22. He sent Barrett head-first into the ring steps. Booker was already proclaiming Barrett a future Hall-of-Famer. Orton tossed Barrett into barricade after barricade. “RKO” chant by the fans as Orton continued his ringside assault by dropping Barrett back-first onto the top of the barricade. Orton went under the ring for some plunder. He found a table and brought it out. As he did so, they went to break at 3:28 of the match.

Back at 6:22 of the match with Orton trying to suplex Barrett off the top and through the table set up in the ring. Barrett fought off and shoved Orton through the table. Cover got two at 6:55. Barrett began to focus on Orton’s back, whipping him hard into the buckle. The fight went outside the ring again, but this time, Barrett was the aggressor. He rammed Orton back-first into the apron. Back in the ring for a near-fall. Knees to the face with Orton wrapped up in the ropes, then Barrett nailed him with a running kick to the face. Orton showed signs of life at ringside and Barrett ended up in the first row of fans. They began to brawl in the aisle and through the crowd. They made it back to ringside as Barrett was clotheslined over the barricade. Barrett countered Orton and sent Orton into the ring steps. He grabbed chair and headed into the ring. He dropped the chair right between Orton’s shoulder-blades and hit him with a few more shots, this time into the mid-section. He set up for Wasteland onto the chair, but Orton got out and made his comeback. Orton picked up the chair and nailed Barrett in the back a few times. Orton set up the chair in the corner and whipped Barrett into it – he went shoulder and head first. Dropkick put Barrett down, and he rolled again to ringside. Orton threw Barrett over the announce table, then back into the ring. Vintage Orton DDT, but the RKO was countered into a Winds of Change side-slam (the name may have already been abandoned, since the announcers didn’t call it by that name). It got a two-count. Barrett got another chair and jammed it into Orton’s back. Orton snuck out of a pump-handle slam and hit the RKO. Orton looked to want one more, and he did it on the chair. That was enough to put Barrett away.

WINNER: Orton, at 16:55.

They went right backstage to Long, Bryan and AJ. Long said next week, Bryan will go one-on-one with Randy Orton. Bryan said he’s not afraid of giants or snakes. He told AJ to “stay here where you’re safe” and to “watch this.” Bryan left Long’s office and went to the ring, celebrating…something. Bryan celebrated as Orton saw him from the turnbuckle. He continued celebrating then left the ring as Orton gave him a look like, “what the heck is this guy doing?” They faded to black with Bryan on the stage, still jumping up and down.

The Thursday Night Show (Impact) was actually good. Funny to see TNA being done in a filled Arena. And that was with about 1/3 of the upper roster no even present (they are in India I presume).

They put on a PPV quality show. I don't watch their PPV's, but I hear that they are over-hyped.

They are over-hyped big time. Before 2010, you had a great reason to watch their PPVs! You would ALWAYS get hyped and you were hardly disappointed.

WWE RAW Results: 2-6-12

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to Caldwell's complete report). Condensed here to in-ring results only.

1 -- World Hvt. champion DANIEL BRYAN (w/A.J.) vs. BIG SHOW -- non-title match

The match started with Show delivering blows to the mid-section as A.J. attempted to look on. Bryan then cut off Show at the knees and both men sold on the mat as they cut to break.

Back live, Bryan had Show in a half-Boston Crab, which Show escaped from. Show then ran over Bryan with a series of clotheslines before delivering a mid-ring spear. Show made a cover, but Bryan kicked out. Show then tried a chokeslam, but Bryan countered with a submission, which Show escaped. Bryan took out Show's knee, though, and went up top, but Show teased the chokeslam, so he hopped down to the ring apron. Show then kicked Bryan and Bryan pretended to injure his leg on the landing. On the outside, Show tried to follow up, which involved A.J. Show tried to smash Bryan, but Bryan ducked and Show nearly smashed A.J. into the ring steps, pulling up just in time. Everyone paused to let the moment breathe, then Bryan grabbed A.J. from the hand and walked her up the ring entrance as Show re-entered the ring, drawing a count-out win.

WINNER: Big Show via count-out at 7:33.

Post-match: Bryan took a mic and screamed at Show that he's a freak. He asked what kind of a man he is, proving that when he ran through A.J. the first time, it was on purpose. Show waved him off in the ring, but Bryan said Show pulled up this time, proving he could have pulled up back then. Bryan said protecting this woman who loves him is more important than winning or losing any match. But, regardless, at the Chamber, things will still be the same when he will still be Daniel Bryan, still be a vegan, and still be World Hvt. champion.

2 -- SHEAMUS vs. DAVID OTUNGA

Sheamus smiled as he circled around Otunga before grabbing him around the neck. Sheamus teased the Celtic Cross, but Otunga slipped out of his sweater and slipped to the outside. Back in the ring, Sheamus delivered a double-fist smash before opening up Otunga's dress shirt for ten consecutive forearm blows to the chest. Otunga suddenly scored with a kick to the gut and DDT for a one count. Otunga tried to stomp and kick Sheamus, but Sheamus shoved him away and smashed him with the Brogue Kick. Sheamus, no longer in a happy mood, scored a quick pin for the win, putting an end to the awful lawyer jokes and Twitter references from the announcers. After a replay of Sheamus dismantling Otunga, Sheamus posed in the ring.

WINNER: Sheamus at 2:05.

3 -- IC champion CODY RHODES & WADE BARRETT vs. RANDY ORTON & GREAT KHALI

Khali seemed confused as to what was going on, and Orton started the match against Rhodes. Orton then slap-tagged Khali, who entered the ring, as did Barrett. Khali got in a few moves, then slap-tagged Orton, who had a good laugh at the tit-for-tat. Orton turned around and ate a boot to the gut from Barrett, though. Rhodes and Barrett then went to work on Orton as Khali looked around the arena from the ring apron. Orton made a comeback and stared at Khali before deciding to handle the heels by himself.

Orton planted Rhodes with a DDT, then went to That Place for an RKO, but Khali tagged himself into the match. Rhodes tried to capitalize with a Disaster Kick, but Khali intercepted with a chop to the head. Khali with the pin for the win. Afterward, Orton confronted Khali's nipples before Khali grabbed Orton around the neck. He tried a chop to the head, but Orton ducked and nailed an RKO to deck Khali.

WINNERS: Orton & Khali at 3:43. I get that WWE is actually trying to promote the Chamber PPV (with the idea of Orton and Khali being every-man-for-himself in the Chamber match), but they actually invested valuable Raw TV time in a story centered on Khali.

4 -- EVE & KELLY KELLY & ALICIA FOX & TAMINA vs. Divas champion BETH PHOENIX & NATALYA & BELLA TWINS

Eve's music played to bring out four babyface Divas, including a cheery Eve. They replayed footage from last Monday when Kane tried to victimize Eve, but John Cena made the save and dismantled Kane before Kane ran away. Back live, Eve sold concern before the four heel Divas came to the ring for a Royal Rumble re-match. The match ended with Tamina scoring a Superfly Splash on one of the Bellas for the win. Afterward, Tamina locked eyes with Beth Phoenix, suggesting she wants the Divas Title.

WINNER: Team Tamina at 1:48. It looks like Tamina is the new babyface flavor of the week for the Divas division.

5 -- WWE champion C.M. PUNK vs. R-TRUTH vs. THE MIZ vs. CHRIS JERICHO vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER vs. KOFI KINGSTON -- Six-Pack Challenge -- non-title match -- Winner gets final slot in Raw's Chamber match

Once the bell sounded, everyone except Punk attacked Jericho after Jericho dogged everyone in his promo segment. Out of the fracas, Punk tried a roll-up of Miz, but Miz kicked out. Jericho then found himself on the floor, leaving the other five to battle in the ring. The ring eventually cleared out, leaving Ziggler and Kofi in the ring. Kofi then splashed everyone on the outside, leaving Ziggler alone in the ring. Ziggler teased "showing off" with a splash, but paused and danced around in the ring. Cole fed to a break as Punk cut off Ziggler with a dropkick.

Back from break, they showed R-Truth being helped to the back by medics. They went to a replay from before the break when Truth took a dive on the outside, using that as an "out" to take Truth out of the match. Back in the ring, Punk delivered a combination move on both Miz and Ziggler as Jericho waited on the outside. Suddenly, Punk was the last man left in the ring, drawing Jericho into the ring. Punk walked toward Jericho and told him to bring it, then the heels ambushed Punk and Jericho.

The match came to a halt before Ziggler went up top and Punk crotched him. Punk then wanted a superplex, but Miz and Jericho cut him off. This set up a four-man superplex spot that put all four men on the mat while Kofi was on the floor. Miz and Jericho then made simultaneous covers, scoring simultaneous nearfalls. Miz and Jericho then called an audible spot, leading to Kofi blasting Miz with a kick to the face. Jericho and Kofi were alone in the ring, and Jericho slapped on a sleeperhold. Kofi fought out, then scored with high-flying offense. Lawler called it a "rough and tumble" match, which sounded like Ross calling a match "bowling shoe ugly."

For the next sequence, Jericho slapped on the Walls of Jericho, but Punk broke it up with a knee to the head. Punk then tossed Jericho from the ring. Ziggler tried to ambush Punk, but Punk intercepted and delivered Go 2 Sleep. Punk had the pin, but Jericho yanked Punk out of the ring before throwing Punk over the announce table. Back in the ring, Jericho stole the pin on Ziggler, giving Ziggler two more visual losses to add to his rough last eight days. After a replay of the finish, Jericho celebrated with possession of Punk's title belt while sitting down in the ring like Punk does.

WINNER: Jericho at 12:24 to take the final slot in the Chamber match. Okay match, but also very clunky that only got the crowd slightly involved at the end.

Suddenly, screams and shrieks were heard. It sounded like multiple fans too close to an arena mic, but WWE suddenly cut backstage to show Eve screaming. Kane made his first appearance, cornering Eve. Kane said Cena is finally starting to embrace the hate, but if he doesn't get there soon, then he's afraid for Eve. He's afraid for Cena, Eve, or anyone who gets in his path. Kane said that more than any of that, for the first time in his life, he's afraid of himself. The camera zoomed in on Kane's lazy eye to close the show six minutes past the top of the hour.

Beth Phoenix really looks unstoppable. I don't think that anybody could ever beat her. She will have the title forever it seems....

If only there was someone out there that could beat her!
IF ONLY.............

Sad that they just NOW started to make Beth look unstoppable. It wasn't that long ago that before her and Nattie( pre randomly farting ) would lose to the dreaded roll up

I'm w/ Madden on this one...

http://m.wrestlezone.com/editorials/249225-flatulence-gimmick-red-rooster-the-madden-challenge

Flatulence Gimmick = Red Rooster, The Madden Challenge

FLATULENCE GIMMICK = RED ROOSTER

Natalya Neidhart is a good-looking woman with decent ring talent and acumen for the wrestling business.

WWE wants her to be the girl with uncontrollable flatulence.

Neidhart should quit. Immediately.

For one thing, she’s a member of the Hart family. She should have more self-respect.

For another, the gimmick has no upside. It’s not funny to anyone with more maturity than an 11-year-old boy. It’s obviously never going to draw money. What sort of storyline could possibly be furthered by flatulence?

And if you think the gimmick is unfunny now, wait until it moves into the ring and affects matches.

If Neidhart continues, this gimmick could be all she’s ever remembered for. This is Terry Taylor territory. He could never escape being The Red Rooster. Neidhart will always be the girl with the flatulence. Better to interrupt your career than have one that can’t be resurrected.

Somebody with Neidhart’s background lives for wrestling and nothing else. WWE knows that, and exploits it.

But it would be better not to work in wrestling than continue with this. This should be living proof to Neidhart that wrestling is neither glamorous nor noble. This puts flipping burgers and shoveling manure in a good light.

It’s humiliation for the sake of humiliation. Management gets to snicker at Neidhart in the executive office. No performer should put up with that. Neidhart should walk.

By way of personal experience:

When I co-hosted WCW Monday Nitro, Vince Russo interfered in a match and got his shirt torn off. Scott Hudson ridiculed his physique. When we got next week’s script, it called for the announcers to work shirtless: Hudson, Tony Schiavone and me. That was Russo’s storyline “punishment.”

I went to Schiavone, my immediate supervisor, and said, “Look, I’m not doing this.” My reasoning: My character had been Russo’s heel sycophant. I had chastised Hudson for making fun of “Mr. Russo.” Why would Russo punish me?

Eric Bischoff got involved: “He’s a mean bastard.”

Nope. That made no sense. Illogical. This was an excuse to have the big, fat guy out there without a shirt. Humiliation for the sake of humiliation. Human cockfighting. It would affect my radio career. It would be tough to live down.

So, I excused myself and prepared to leave.

But the script got tweaked. Only Hudson had to work without a shirt. That made sense. Management backed down.

I wasn’t bluffing. I was willing to quit. Wrestling was a lucrative, fun job – but not worth permanent embarrassment. I’m not a mark now. I wasn’t a mark then.

It wasn’t like I refused to do anything that made me look bad. Tank Abbott stripped me to my waist when he beat the crap out of me. But I did it, because there was a payoff, namely establishing Tank’s random lunacy by which he held WCW hostage. (Remember when he pulled a knife?)

I wrestled twice (oh, boy) and had a protective cup jammed in my face by Gene Okerlund. Real highlight there. But, ultimately, that storyline was going to lead to me being intergender champ (like Andy Kaufman) and, ultimately, getting my ass kicked by Madusa. Money? No. Legit booking? Yes. (TBS killed it: No man-on-woman violence allowed. Praise Jesus.)

None of that was flattering. But there was logical thought. So I did it. (BTW, I thought that Tank’s assault would lead to me being written off TV. But I was back next week, face properly bruised. I hid under the announce table when Tank came out. Tank: “Don’t even look at me, fatass.” God bless Tank Abbott. Good guy. Light as a feather.)

If you signed a wrestling contract hoping to protect your vanity, you came to the wrong place.

But you shouldn’t have to be a laughingstock for no reason. Neidhart’s flatulence gimmick has no possible gain.

Neidhart should walk. If she doesn’t, things will get worse. More embarrassing. Doing a flatulence gimmick isn’t being a team player. It’s being stupid. If it’s money, ask Randy Orton to do it. Or Mark Henry. See what those guys think about it.

I’ve been beating this drum for what seems like eternity, but here we go again: One of WWE’s biggest problems is that no one scripting it knows how to be funny. Worse yet, what’s thought to be funny is decidedly not. WWE needs a comedian on staff for quality control.

I don’t see how bathroom humor like a flatulence gimmick fits into PG-13, either. I don’t see how it fits into anything.

THE MADDEN CHALLENGE: UPDATE

Last month, I asked readers to propose potential payoffs resulting from the climax of the Jan. 16 Raw which featured a showdown between C.M. Punk, John Laurinaitis and Mick Foley. I wanted short and concise. I got rambling gibberish. I got over three dozen e-mails. None that could be used.

Note to IWC: Brevity and coherence are your friends. Well, my friends, anyway. I see more than one graf, I delete.

The winner of the MADDEN CHALLENGE: Me. By default.

Mark Madden hosts a radio show 3-6 p.m. weekdays on WXDX-FM,Pittsburgh, PA (105.9). Check out his web page at WXDX.com. Contact Mark by emailing wzmarkmadden@hotmail.com . FOLLOW MARK ON TWITTER: @MARKMADDENX.

Beth Phoenix really looks unstoppable. I don't think that anybody could ever beat her. She will have the title forever it seems....

If only there was someone out there that could beat her!
IF ONLY.............
I think the intent to make her look invincible was there however...the one who threatened it all had to get pregnant as she joined the WWE. Now she'll be back very soon and hopefully the battle for the championship will commence.

Really!? So they have Tyson Kidd on tv be the one who says his real life girlfriend's farting is disgusting?? I guess if she asked him to do it to at least soften the blow but still this does Nattie no favors

So, I just got word Tajiri's promotion SMASH is closing its doors next month. Apparently him and his financial backer couldn't come to an agreement on some things. :/ I'm obviously not happy with this because SMASH was FUN to watch and it had some great wrestling! Their women's division was BOSS! Kana, Ray, Shuri, Makoto, Io, Mio, Tomoka, Serena... I wonder what'll be next for them?

Since the Neo was down last, night, I haven't posted TV results yet. They will be up today, along with the usual ongoing PPV results tonight. My apologies for being late.

ROH TV Results: 2-4-12

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to Radican's complete report). Condensed here to in-ring results only.

1 - - ROH TV Champion JAY LETHAL vs. MIKE BENNETT (w/Maria & Brutal Bob) – No Time Limit

Lethal charged at Bennett after he wouldn’t shake hands, but Bennett bailed to ringside. Lethal got the upper hand on Bennett and put the boots to him on the outside. Kelly said there would be a PPV quality main event on every show this month. Bennett continued to try to stall, but Lethal followed him and tossed him back into the ring.

They ended up back on the outside and Bennett used Bob as a shield. Lethal punched Bob, so Bennett used Maria as a distraction and he ended up taking Lethal down with a punch. They went to commercial break at this point.

Kelly plugged the WrestleMania weekend events. Kelly brought in Maria and Bennett for a promo. Bennett said he would be in Florida with Maria. He said they were going to take Florida by storm and win some matches in the process.

Back from commercial break, Lethal took out Bennett with a big kick. Kelly showed footage of Bennett working over Lethal during the commercial break. Back to live action, Lethal went for a dive, but Bennett got out of the way. Lethal beat the 20 count and Bennett mounted him and landed some punches. Bennett grabbed a sleeper hold, but Lethal fought out of it. Both men began exchanging punches in the middle of the ring as the crowd applauded. Lethal finally took Bennett down with a kick. Lethal mounted some sustained offense on Bennett as the crowd applauded. Lethal continued to run wild on Bennett as he connected with a springboard missile dropkick for a 2 count.

Bennett caught Lethal coming off the ropes, but Lethal caught him with a superkick. Lethal went for the Lethal injection, but Bennett countered it into a neck breaker for a 2 count. Lethal and Bennett ran into each other. Lethal was down on the mat and Bennett was slumped on the ropes. Maria pushed Bennett on top of Lethal, who rolled up Bennett for the win.

Winner: Jay Lethal to retain the ROH TV Title

Star rating: (**1/2) – This was a perfectly fine match for television that featured some good exchanges down the stretch from both men. I liked the finish, but I’m hoping it doesn’t start a division between Bennett and Maria since they’ve only been paired together for a short amount of time.

2 -- ROH World Tag Team Champions THE BRISCOES (Jay & Mark Briscoe) vs. WGTT (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin)

Cornette came in on commentary and said the belts were on the line because Haas & Benjamin had pissed him off. Haas got the upper hand on Jay. He choked him against the ropes. Benjamin then kicked Jay to the mat when he broke the hold. The crowd chanted for the Briscoes as Haas and Benjamin continued to work over Jay in the corner. Benjamin tossed Jay through the turnbuckles and his shoulder went into the ringpost. McGuinness said he didn’t like WGTT getting their way by holding the company hostage. Cornette said he felt like a victim of terrorism.

Jay began firing back on Benjamin with forearms. He blocked a charge from Benjamin by getting his knees up in the corner a short time later. Jay and Benjamin both tagged out. Mark did some karate on Haas. They botched a spot out of the corner and the action broke down. Jay tossed Benjamin to the floor. Benjamin got a chair. Haas kicked out of a rollup and sent Mark right into a chairshot from Benjamin from the outside. The ref called for the DQ.

Winners: Jay & Mark Briscoe via DQ
