Is it good to put pcb protective lacquer to mvs board that are already their years old? Allows welding above

Most pcbs already have conformal coating.

It is to protect against corrosion etc.

This seems like WHEN a board breaks again after you use this it is even more of a pain to fix the traces or solder work.
