Personally for me the first Aof and the second and of the saga world heroes 1 and 2 for the death match.

AOF2 all the way. The WH games are disappointing.

World Heroes Perfect is a great game. An underrated gem.

I'd have to go for AOF3. Just love how that can feel more like a real fight than a game. Makes it stand out as a different experience. It's a lot like a 3D fighting game put into 2D
