Please excuse the ant sized photo, I didnt want to flood my post with a giant closeup of rusty roms..

My Eightman has audio corruption problems. After opening the cart, I can see that one of the V roms has rust on 3 of f its legs.

I'm trying to find a replacement eeprom for this. I managed ot find those infos on the NeoGeo Dev wiki:

Toshiba
1M x 8 / 512k x 16 TC538200

According to the data sheet,
The pins affected are 22, 23 and 25 which are for Power, and Data outputs for 23 and 25.

and that's basically as far as I can go right now with my current knowledge.

I'm still a beginner when it comes to this, but i'm eager to learn. I have a desoldering gun, a eeprom burner so I will be able to write a new eeprom.

What kind of eeprom replacement Can I use for this?

Thanks in advance

edit: ti seems that a 27c800 would do the job?
edit2: I have found this thread, https://www.arcade-projects.com/for...or-conversion-of-this-mvs-boot/&postID=199502

Thjis may be of use for someone else!

Did you check continuity on the rusty legs? How about running patches from the chip to the board for the rusty legs?
