I didn't even know sanwa had bat tops. I may look into this, as the sticks that came with mine feel like IL bat tops with square gates.I can't play fighters with Happ sticks. I don't pull off the moves consistently. I'm used to Neo stye and Hori square gates, and the Sanwa sticks I bought are a massive improvement for my machine. I went with Sanwa because they have bat tops available, to make this big red look more like original parts.
Only problem, as you can see, the dust covers don't quite fit. I put the smaller covers underneath the large ones. The bat tops are available at focusattack.com.
There's definitely a good argument there. If I had bought this machine as a primary system to play on, I might go with the same, since I'm used to Japanese ball tops with square gates. However, if I really wanted the play experience to be perfect, I would've gotten a candy cab instead of a big red. I bought this machine more out of nostalgia than for the optimal play experience.
