Atomiswave button error

Recently my atomiswave has been having issues with shot 5 on player 1 activating all the time, even when no controller is plugged in. I have heard that the diodes on these controller ports fail, and need to be replaced and I assume that is the issue. What type of diodes do I need and where exactly on the motherboard do the diodes need to be placed? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You plugged your harness in backwards. One of the pull up resistors is frizzled.

Ok, I got it working. I just bypassed all the diodes.
