Hi everyone. I recently found my old NeoGeo AES and games while going through my parents storage. However, there is crack on the plastic because there were some heavy items on top of it.

Are there replacement cases I can purchase? It's a real eyesore seeing that crack.

Here are some images

My AES shell is pretty fucked up too. One screw post seems stripped, and the plastic has a burn on it (chemical burn??)

I dont really have much hope of finding an affordae replacement. Well, at least the board is in great shape, fully recapped and socketed bios

Concerning the OP, your best option would be to get some epoxy and set the plastic from the inside of the shell. It would look a bit better and should help prevent further damage.

I've never heard of anyone making replacement AES system shells.

Best bet is probably to buy a non working Japanese system to steal the top half of the shell from. Re-use the bottom though so your serial number and whatnot is correct.

There are a couple different slight variations of console shells though. I had 2 Japanese ones at one point and one was slightly different in how it was held together.

You can buy replacement Neo Geo X shells but modding one of those to fit your AES board would be a nightmare.

Haven't come across any replacement AES shells.

Quite a few retro modders out there are on Instagram showing off their 3d printers and what they can do.

Perhaps if you ask those sortsmof modders they would be able to help?

Will try and get some Insta names for you to begin the search.

Neo Geo X shells are like 1/8 the size of an actual Neo system.

Just try to fix it yourself. Use some tape for the front of the case and then use some pressure to make it fit again (from the inside). Then glue the inside with modelling glue. Wait some hours till it's dry and remove the tape, it can't get any worse.

Yep. I think that's a great idea.

There's no replacement for these, so treat them like gold.
