Alpha mission ii insert is short height wise

Is this normal? I’ve never seen this before so I thought I would ask. I know the pic of the insert is hard to see but it’s about an inch short ( look at the red line makes it a bit easier to see)

It was possible frayed and previous person had it trim to make it look better.

Very strange the seller says he bought it new and it came like that. I’ve never seen a Neo Geo aes game insert that out of spec.

Why do you say it's an inch short? An inch is quite a bit.

Looking at my AM2, its insert does look a little shorter than other carts. Maybe by 3mm or so. My AM2 case/insert looks almost the same as in the photos here.

I own this game, and I bought it new old stock 11ish years ago. My insert is short as well. It came with the neo geo sticker intact over the case.

SNK couldn’t print stickers or inserts to save their asses. Even my Hyper Neo Geo carts have slightly wonky stickers.

I can’t swear yours is legit, but I encounter the same thing and my insert is mint

It's normal. Some inserts are shorter than others. Hell, some soft cases are shorter than others. AM2 typically have a slightly short insert in longer than average case.

got one too, pretty much all of them are like that. And tbh i can't see why one would bootleg Alpha Mission 2.

I wouldn't put too much stock in things being out of spec with Neo Geo. SNK had pretty poor quality control, all things considered.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I ended up picking this game up about a month ago. I really love this shooter so I’m glad I got it.
