Probably a cold solder joint somewhere. The roms are also 27C800 equivalent so you can remove those and verify if need be.

So, I re soldered every point from the backside and made a clean in ultrasonic and PCB cleaner.
But still the same.

M1 going bad maybe? I tend to reflow all of the solder joints on the board just to rule out anything else like that.

You may need to replace the PCM or you could just transfer the roms to another PROG pcb.

Yes, I did. Also ultrasonic bathing and PCB cleaner. No chance for me, I bought a new one what works fine.
I will try to sell it, maybe someone else can repair it.

Well. As an overkill method. You could always do a complete PCB board swap. From what I can find Fatal Fury 1 has both compatible PCB boards (42G-1) for you to swap the Mask ROM chips to. At least it's cheap compared to destroying a Robo Army or Baseball Stars 2 cart for the same thing. If it STILL has the same problem. You can pretty much know that it is a bad ROM chip at that point.

Like I said. Overkill, but still a method to use.

I'd be interested if you ship to the US and the total cost is not that bad.
If that's the case, feel free to drop me a PM.
