Interesting news for those of you who collect soundtracks.

"City Connection announced today that they will be releasing two year’s worth of soundtracks for classic SNK arcade games, split into collections with one releasing each month for the next 24 months.

SNK Arcade Sound Digital Collection Vol. 1 will contain tracks from games like Prehistoric Isle in 1930, Bermuda Triangle, Chopper I, Prehistoric Isle in 1930, Mechanized Attack, and Beast Busters. All the games come from before SNK adopted the MVS arcade board.

Vol. 1 is set to release on April 24, 2019 in Japan, costing 3,200 yen, and the music is collected in two discs. The OST is currently on pre-order at City Connection’ps Claris Disc online shop here."

Does anyone have any of these CDs? What are your thoughts? I've listened to all of them so far. Generally, they're louder, clearer, and better organized than their vintage counterparts. However, I'm let down by a couple of things. In Vol. 1 the absence of Street Smart & Victory Road tracks and the inclusion of some whatever material, and in Vol. 4 (Pulstar & Blazing Star) the sound quality once again isn't that great; not super clear and essentially just a digitally cleaned up version of the original mono streamed files. I actually think Pulstar's Neo-Geo CD soundtrack is the way to go here.
