RIP Keith.

Glad I got to see Prodigy live a few years back - good show.

I don't really know too much stuff by them other than Firestarter, but I hope Keith Flint rests in peace.

If you didn’t post that he would still be alive.

Well, I guess he will no longer be breathing with me now. Rip Keef.

He was probably reading forums, stumbled across that thread. If aging videogame nerds don't like his latest music ....who will?!?!

I was just listening to Fat of the Land the other week, jammin' in the car during my commute, thinking about how fantastic this album was when it came out and how much it holds up today.

Yeah, wild that we were just talking about him/Prodigy. Apparently the guy's had severe depression issues and openly talked about suicide for years. A fucking shame that part of what gives people the ability to tap in to something truly creative is the same thing that brings them constant pain and suffering.

I would also wonder what effect the amount of party drugs I'm sure he did for decades (MDMA, etc.) had on his dopamine/serotonin receptors.

The Prodigy were a part of the soundtrack of my youth. Goodnight Keith.

I remember FotL came out when I was a 21 year old kid. That record meant the world to me then. The manic shenanigans and manner of Keith was something I could relate to as it was also the first year I discovered I was bipolar. RIP Keith one of the original cyberpunks.

Sad news. I'm not a fan of everything they've ever put out. But I did like a lot of it throughout the years. Only listened to their newest album once or twice so not so sure how I feel about that one, but I did enjoy (for the most part) the two before it (The Day is my Enemy, Invaders Must Die).

A couple of my favorite newer songs from them:

RIP Keith

I was immediately so sad when I saw the headline

Fotl was the first electronica that grabbed me.

Poison is pretty awesome song. I think it's actually better than their bigger hits later. They were all talented.

Great song. Has more of a hip hop edge to it. You can tell they were influnced by punk, techno and hip hop.

I didn’t like their latest album, but totally gutted Keity Flint took his own life. Every band can have a rough patch and bounce back. Apparently he broke his own record for a park run just before topping himself, maybe he was testing the limits of his morality just before his suicide.

My favourite prodigy music video is Smack my bitch up. It’s what I imagine Sylvie’s nights out are like. (Contains boobies so don’t watch at work, unless you work in a porn shop or something)

Rest In Peace Mr. Flint
