It looks factory to me, but honestly it's probably impossible to tell anymore.

That type of sloppy soldering is par for the course on Pulstar carts.

I remember when you bought the lot this game was in. Nice investment...

the 7th picture down...

bottom row, 2nd from left...is that a cold solder? Seems darker than the rest of them.

I think it's just one of the excess solder blobs, but I see what you mean. It plays fine and CRC checks out. The cart is already damaged from the first person who opened it, so if it needed to be opened again to be touched up, it's not a huge issue.

Yep, I couldn't resist, even though I've never been much into home carts. I even waited a couple days, half hoping someone else would spare me needing to spend my rainy day fund on it. There are a couple more carts that would be nice to open even though I'm confident they are real. But, truth be told, I'm terrible at opening these. The reason I was able to open this is that some of the tabs were already cracked.

Thanks for the info, it's good to know the manufacturing from this era was inconsistent.

Ugh cracked tabs on a Pulstar. Sucks. Totally worth learning on some fatal furies first for anyone out there wanting to attempt it.

Cracked Pulstar, the cart originally from Germany?
