Hello first post. Picked up my first AES US Version cib condor with three games. The games included are baseball stars packaged with the console, art of fighting US, and art of fighting 2 Japanese. My question is when I popped art of fighting 2 in my console it played in English. Now is that normal? I’ve read that the Japanese aes consoles will play English games in Japanese wasn’t sure if the US consoles did the same with Japanese games?

That is normal, with a US system all games will play in English, minus the few that were not translated by Snk. Enjoy your new system!

Game language is determined by console/system bios and not the game itself.

So yeah, totally normal.

Those are some good starter games for the system. Samurai Shodown 1, 2, and Fatal Fury Special should be next on your list for the max amount of fun for the least amount of money. Or just get a NeoSD.

Congratulations! I was going to suggest some early non-fighting games next but just checking the prices on Ebay... they all cost so much now. Hope you can find some bargains out there.
