Wash the board with soap and water and dry it for a few days.

Could be a lot worse. I know Coca-Cola also gets rid of rust really well though I haven't tried it on a PCB. Vinegar and baking soda mix works pretty well but at the end of the job you always want to clean with isopropyl alcohol and Q-tips

Firstly remove all plastics, battery, bios (if in socket) and riser card.

Use some ultra fine sand paper on the rust to remove the top layer.

Apply a baking soda and vinegar paste on the corroded areas and let sit for half an hour or so.

Scrub the board in warm water with a non phosphorus containing detergent.

Literally use a garden hose to blast the fucker clean.

Pad dry and let sit in the sun for an hour.

Turn on your oven to 100-150Celcius or fahrenheit equivalent and let it get to temperature then turn off. 30mins later place the board in the oven for a few hours or until cool.

Assemble the board and you'll have the cleanest pcb you've ever seen. Safe and sound.
