Yeah, I heard lots of raving about this back when the movie came out in the '90s. One reviewer even compared it to David Lynch's work. Another to Hitchcock.

So I bought the dvd when it came out, sight unseen. I thought this movie was garbage. In no way does it even begin to stand up to either Lynch or Hitchcock. Complete disappointment.

I dunno STK, it might be my favorite Satoshi Kon work behind Paprika. But opinions are like assholes.

I've never seen Black Swan, but apparently it borrowed heavily from this.
