Replacing the battery in a one slot MVS (MV-1A)

Hi all,

I've had my MV-1A for a couple of weeks now and the (original coin cell type) battery seems to be working ok - high scores and soft-DIPs are maintained even when the board is powered off for a couple of days.

However, I've seen many posts strongly recommended replacing original batteries before they leak.

If I'm going to replace it, I'd rather use a rechargeble one if possible - any opinions on the Panasonic replacement VL2020 described in the article below?

Any one else using these in their one slot boards?

they do make rechargeable coin cell batteries. i used a battery clip and just put one. no need to remove any thing else but the battery in the long run and for storage.
