Saner, thanks always for the informative post. I watched some of the videos you linked.

Do you know if there will be any options to select clothing that is a little more sexualized for female characters? This really will be a key decision for me in getting the game.

I personally think that having women being able to use their sexuality in a more overt way is empowering for all women and I was really hoping the clothing options would be more akin to things we saw in Dead or Alive 5 Last Round. It’s true that I sometimes masturbate when playing games, but that doesn’t mean that having the options to dress female characters provocatively isn’t good for society in general. Advancing both gender equality issues as well as my mastubatory habits don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

Now I don’t necessaily think bikinis would make sense in the context of this game, but certainly some clothing options that revealed some ample cleavage and/or legs would be appropriate. Lingerie options could work well.

Please don’t misunderstand me - my desire to dress my character in a way that accentuates her sexuality is in no way some deviant desire to play out some kind of fantasy, I just believe if we are denied the ability to embrace a women’s sexuality then we are doing a disservice to all women and ultimately living a lie.

Do you know how the game designers are going to handle this? What are your thoughts on the subject?

I seen there are good feminine clothes options in the game, there's also masculine and gender neutral clothing, though overall, I think if someone wants to optimize feminine representation, avoid the pants and coats, there's even a free skirt that's available in the first opportunity to change clothes. though expecting something like DOA games have, that's rather over the top. RDO sticks with more culturely and down to earth garments, and I'm grateful women can wear clothes intended for women, besides clothes that are something that men would wear. There's a good degree of customization to explore and looks like there's different tiers of attire, from clothes that a typical farm girl would wear, to more expensive looking clothes wealthy women would wear.

Thank you Saner, always helpful!

I contacted Rockstar and asked them about a prostitute outfit, and provided some images of what I think it could look like. Hopefully they will be receptive to the idea...the garments were all period appropriate and I think it could be really amazing.

I also asked them to not tie outfits to a character’s assumed gender. To Dr. Shroom’s point, I think it would make sense to be able to put my proposed female prostitute costume on a “male” character. If the game is striving for realism then that is really the most appropriate way to handle the situation. Personally I would only want to dress up a female character in female prostitute clothes, but I completely sympathize with people who would like to do the same for a male character, and to the best of my knowledge, they have not been able to do so in any video game so far. I’m all about pushing the boundaries of gender and sexual equality in all forms of media and entertainment.

update! randomize is a factor to getting a better face based on combination of good settings with a good random template.

someone's settings doesn't guarantee the same face, so using randomize could be a factor to make a better appearance! so starting face/randomized face is a factor to produce better results!

even a randomized bad face with the same settings could look worse, as good or better, depending on the randomized face template.
so try the formula on different randomized faces and tweak it to improve appearance further!

I suspect it is because all the other members on this site are sexist, anti-feminist jerks who are threatened by the fact that we can have powerful women characters in a game like RDO that can be both strong and sexy and hopefully dressed in revealing period appropriate prostitute clothing that accentuates the beautiful curves of a woman, not in a demeaning way but in a way that empowers them.

I just can't handle that level of female empowerment. I feel threatened that a video game has such strong female characters, it's a threat to my livelihood, it impacts my day-to-day activities, and it makes me feel like a piece of shit.

yea, fighting games should go open world like this. those the cops should use their fists instead of long range weapons. wow just imagine what a open world Streets of Rage would be like in 3D like this. a sport could be created out of it. well more like a way of life. see, they should be paying us to brawl in bars and streets and stuff.
