Ed probably didn't want to be put on Twitter blast like a donut shop that shorted an out of towner 2 donuts so he moved on.
What would you do if you tried to do something quietly and professionally and the company at fault did nothing? Honestly the only way you can get any sort of customer service from big companies these days is to make it public on social media.
