Will a Mega Drive 1 RGB SCART cable work with a Neo Geo CD

I've seen some conflicting opinions on this so looking for advice please. I have just ordered a JAP Neo Geo CD, it doesn't come with any AV cables. I already own a PAL Mega Drive 1 and have a decent RGB SCARt cable for it. Can I use the same one, or is the Neo Geo AV output different? I have seen some sellers on eBay selling cables that apparently fit both machines, while others say the designs are slightly different.

OK thanks, they look identical from the outside but looks like the end of the socket is slightly different.
