Hey guys - by the time I am typing this I was already able to fix the broken board that I received today.
When first finding out it is a MV-1AHCX I was scared because I had no experience with this revision.

Connecting it first it showed a Backup RAM Error and once the backup RAM error was fixed it was stuck on the green screen.

I then inspected the backside of the board and found that some capacitors and a transistor was missing (gladly I had a donor MV-1FZ which has identical parts).

One of the caps was responsible for the crystal in the backup area and the broken transistor with the ripped off trace was connected to the 4990.

I also replaced the HC32 and the 4990 as the other fixed still got me stuck on the green screen.

Once this was done the baby fired up perfectly - no issues.

I really have to say it is nice to have an easy repair every once in a while.. really satisfying :D

Have a great day

Didn't know that the MV-1ACHX had the same form factor as the MV-1FZ.. so I could try my red acrylic concept case that I had as a leftover from my MV-1FZ tests.

Really love that combo

Also it's a really interesting board. The NEO-BUF bypass or jumper mini PCB looks funny and I was shocked at first because I thought that someone screwed up a repair job :D

Those acrylics are interesting, but I'm not a fan of having the cart socket PCB exposed like that.

Sure.. I understand. Its a minimalistic approach - I also had to cut the cart socket to make it even smaller only as wide as the pcb. For a later time I wil maybe make a 3D Printed top part - but it does not really bother me as it is right now :)

Do you remember the error code for the backup ram error?
Congrats on the fix.
