This was such a hype game when I was in Jr. High. Never had the patience for RPGs, but will revisit it at some point. Have you played through Star Ocean on the SFC?
Star Ocean 2 was literally the game that changed me from just a kid that played games to someone who obsessed over them. Got it back when i was in 6th grade, and it was my first JRPG as well. I played the psp version of the first one but never finished it. I need to go back to it some day. I also played star ocean 3 but wasnt happy with it, and the other ones i hear are pretty lackluster. Such a shame because Star ocean 2 IMO is a masterpiece, that got over shadowed by final fantasy 7
