Weird problems with neogeo AES and unibios on a socket (no piggybacking)

Hi!
Recently I installed an unibios to my neogeo aes. I unsoldered the original eprom to place a socket (no piggybacking). Unfortunately, during the process 4 tracks were damaged, but I managed to find and repair them with wires.
Now, it seems to work... well, not always...
Just look this video I uploaded:
If I use the neogeo mother board out of the case, or just using the botton case, the console works perfectly but, if I put the top case of the console, it doesnt works.
Also, just using the board naked, withouth the case, as you can see you the video, it works but if I put my hand near the eeprom (but I dont touch anything), it fails. It seems like an static electricity problem!
I have tested several eeproms, and nothing changes.
Does anyone knows whats happening here? any solution?

Some traces have dual connections.Which traces did you damage? You should have also been able to do all of you trace repairs on the solder side of the board.

The broked traces were 19,23,33 and 37.
Anyway, I think that I already controlled all pins, with also the double connections included.

You have to be missing a trace somewhere.Re-check
Pin 19 =pin 2 of LSPC2 and pin 12 of 43256 near bottom half of reset button of AES
pin 23 =pin 31 of 68000
pin 33 =pin 40 of 68000 & pin 21 of EO
pin 37 =pin 44 of 68000 & pin 34 of EO

Hi again, and thanks for your answers :)

I tested all of them, and all of the tracks are ok.

I understand that the 15k resistor used on some tutorials like this one ( http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/snk-neo-geo-aes-unibios-install/ ) is not needed when the old bios is completly removed, isn't it?

Anyway, is there a detailed list of all the connections from the bios to the board? the way you explained them were very usefull to test them quite fast.
Back them I tested all the tracks but maybe I forgot any ...

I made an error listing ,sloppy notes:
Pin 23 =pin 31 of 68000 ,PIN 3 of 259 and pin 2 of EO2
I will document the whole thing in the next post.

Well, yes, I forgot to mention that :
"Pin 19 =pin 2 of LSPC2 and pin 12 of 43256 " is wrong, because it is the pin 11 of the 43256.
Anyway, thank you very much for your help. Now waiting for your next post :)

have you bridged last 3 solder point of eeprom ?
pin 40.39.38

Hi!
40 and 39 are connected, 38 isn't. Do I have to connect it too??

EDIT: I've connected 38 with 39 and 40... and I still have the same problems
Anyway, thank you!

Lets add more info.
External light also affects the board. With light from outside, everything works (while not placing my hand near de bios) but if the room is completly dark (no lights turned on), board doesn't works!!!

Thank you very much for the info BB!
Anyway,I think there are a few mistakes. According to the data sheet:
- pin 1 is not gnd,on datasheet it says "program supply"
- pin 2 is not 5v, datasheet says is "chip enable signal"
- pin 11 is not 5v, its GND
- pin 30 is not 5v, its GND
- pin 39 is not gnd, is "program"
- pin 40 is not gnd, is VCC

And, if the rest of the conection are ok, I have discovered broked tracks between:
- bios-25 & EO-4
- bios-21 & EO-64
i
As soon as I can I'm gonna test them!

Thanks for your help BB!

I have shortened as much as I could all the wires used to repair tracks. Now all of them except one are on the botton side of the board. Also I've connected 38,39 and 40 pings.
All connections have been checked from the BB list, (not including those I though were not ok)... The problems are still there u_u;

Test betwen pin 1 of the HC32 and pin 6 of 259
That's a trace running across the bios that got damaged on a repair I did awhile back.

Shorten your wires, keep them close to the board.

Pin 10 of HC32 to PIN 9 of 259 runs across the bios as well as NEO-DO pin 20 to LSPC2 146

AND you double checked all of your 68000 chip connections?? The 68000 chip connections are okay on 21 & 25???
You have to be missing something. It can be nothing else but a damaged trace or two connections touching/sharing around the bios.

All connections to m6800, and also the neo-eo, the 43256, the lspc2, the hc259,... everything tested, sorry u_u;

What happens when you re-install the original bios?

Before all those tests, all the eproms(original included) had the same results but, right now, only one of the unibios I have works if I dont put my hand near the eeprom at start up.
