I have just finished repairing an MV-1C single slot, had to repair a few broken traces by running some jumper wires. Also had to repair 4 pins on the NEO-YSA2 chip. The pins were completely gone, so I had to sand / file down some of the substrate material on the top of the chip just to expose some of the missing legs. All in all it went well and I was able to solder wire to the newly exposed missing legs. With all that being said, what is the proper thing to do to secure the wiring to the board that was used to repair traces ? (Hot Glue, Electrical Tape, etc.. ?) Also as the Neo-YSA2 chip now has a little of the top missing, looking for ideas to cover the exposed area which is about the size of a small grain of rice. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
