**I tossed in another Jamma Board and it does the same thing, this has to be a monitor issue, i'll pursue that route**
Hi, i'll try to get a vid of this later but i've noticed an odd issue with my MVS. I first noticed this with the 161 cart, but it also happens with a legit SamSho2 cart as well.
Sometimes there will be a random flash of a blue horizontal bar, usually the top half of the screen, maybe top/middle 1/3. Just a solid bar, no other video issues. I've tried the normal cleaning, but honestly the cart is about as clean as I have ever seen. The socket on the board has been cleaned with the t-shirt/credit card method.
The MV-1FZ board was a shelf survivor I got on eBay. I'm going to look it over again, but its about the cleanest PCB i've ever seen. Its running on the original battery, i looked it over and there is no leaking that I can see. It also keeps time without issue so I haven't changed it out yet.
I did install the Unibios 4.0 chip.
So anyone have any ideas? The issue is pretty random, but my thoughts are:
1) Bad caps?
2) Battery?
3) Try original BIOS?
Thanks for your suggestions.
Edit:
Here is the video https://youtu.be/QhKPf2o5E2Q
You can see it at 0:04 seconds when earthquake strikes the second time.
