Originally I had one of the amps in my cab from Kidpanda's guide:

http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?272882-How-To-Adding-a-stereo-amp-to-your-Egret-II

Panda and I were talking about an amp that could provide some more juice, as the mini amp is fine for cps2, but a lot of other stereo boards require a beefier amp. So Panda recommended me the lepy amp.

This amp is loud, and has a lot of power for the price.

So with some Panda assistance I got to work. Besides the amp, you will need this:

You'll need to follow the e2 P connector pinout while wiring up your adapter.

Excuse the mess, but you can see the wiring adapter.

Sadly, the stock E2 power supply does not have enough juice to power this amp, so I ended up having to use the happ. If you don't want to make a happ adapter, you can always run a power cord to the back of the cab. This is a 12v amp, but the e2 stock just can't handle it.

Mounted it on the side of the cab, nicely out of sight:

Enjoy!

Nice job! I saw this one while looking for one for my Crazy Taxi, but I needed to get one that had a subwoofer channel as well. Also can 100% agree that most PSUs don't have the oomph on the 12V line to power an amp like that — it's why so many of them run a separate audio power transformer.

Lepai makes a 2.1 channal amp too.

EDIT: Nevermind. I see your other post.

Yeah most candy psus have a low 12v. The Sega sun is a beastly psu and “should” be able to handle it. I’m not 100% sure, but can your CT take a Naomi amp? Those Naomi amps are beastly- if I was more technically inclined, I’d run a Naomi amp and transformer in the E2.

Very nice. I've been thinking about doing something like this. Good inspiration.
