I was thinking about this when I was watching Outrage Coda...

It seems to me... Beat Takeshi dies quite a lot in the films he stars in...

Brother...
Sonatine...
Battle Royale...
Hana-Bi...

Not sayin' I didn't enjoy his films... just pointing out facts...

It's not like a Tom Cruise Movie... where he almost always comes out on top...

I'm going with John Hurt. His death in Alien is one of the most memorable in all of film, but he does seem to die a hell of a lot in other movies too.

Brandon Lee
Heath Ledger

I know it was just once, but still think they deserve mention.

Brandon Lee
Heath Ledger

Both guys died before their time...

Brandon because someone decided to put a live bullet in one of the "props"...
Heath because he was sorta a bit messed up...

Unsure how their film careers would've ended up... but there was defo potential...

The best time to die is young so people can remain legendary and in the public conscious forever be a 'what if'.

There is a celebrity worship, no doubt. Just think of any great actor and pretend they died before 30 and see what legacy they would have left.

Al Leong although not the main star but he is probably in everyone's favorite action film as the bad guy henchman. He dies in just about every movie he is in except for Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure which he play Genghis Khan.

What happened to Lee was more complex. The firearm expert decided to make his own blanks to save a FEW dollars. He fired off some live rounds from the gun that was to be used on camera to produce the empty brass, unbeknown to him the last round he fired had the projectile actually get stuck in the gun barrel. He took the empty brass cartridges and produced blank rounds with NO projectile. Come the day of the big shot the trigger is pulled on this weapon and the gas from the blank round pushes the projectile out the barrel into Lee.

Anyone notice Michelle Rodriguez characters have a habit of dying and coming back to life

Michael Ironside :buttrock:

Edit: I'm now debating whether or not Scanners counts if he wasn't portraying the character at the exact moment of death. We may need an adjudication for that one if we start counting deaths.
