This forum should know that this asshole considers himself a fighting game guy first and foremost but loathes every iteration of street fighter ever...

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Lol what can I say, 4Button > 6Button but yea SF as a whole is pretty dull to me. Especially anything after 3rd Strike.

I do like Zero/Alpha series though. Atleast enough to have a Zero3 board.

alpha 3 has the better gameplay but everything else, alpha 2 does better. alpha 2 is very balanced, better presentation, better backgrounds, better sound track and even better character stories and endings.

I prefer Alpha 2's music, backgrounds, color palette and smaller roster.

It feels like all of characters presence means something ya know?

Where is the "better gameplay"? Broken crotch cancels?!

Probably with the add depth ( ism system ), and larger roster. Also adds to the replay value.

how can 2 be better then 3 with that awesome announcer? who can forget all these bodacious quotes:

"It all depends on your skill!"
"Nobody blink!"
"You can't give it up!"
"It's showtime!"
"Let's party!"
"Hey, come on, stand up!"
"Get ready, fighters!"
"Beat em' up, guys!"
"Triumph or die!"
"Go for broke!"
"Go for it, man!"
"Face it Straight!"
"Congratulations!"
"Ain't there somebody who can stop this fighting machine?"
"That was only warmin' up!"
"That was great! Super! Excellent!"
"You've proved yourself!"
"You did a great job, street fighter!"
"That's enough! Unbeatable!!"
"What a terrible fighter!"
"That was the greatest fight I've ever saw!"
"You have fists of god!!"
"Yeah! The world's waiting for ya!"
"I can't believe my eyes!"
"Sharpen your fangs, it's not the end!"

I find "replay value" a strange tag to attach to a fighting game.

better gamplay may of been the wrong word, maybe more advanced gameplay. whether that's better or not is up for debate.

I mean...Vism all day. There are no other isms

I enjoy Alpha/Zero 3 more (especially the Saturn version), but it is unbalanced compared to SFA2.

I do like the light juggle mechanics in 3, along with the ISMs (which really made some big differences in certain characters), and the expanded roster. That being said V-ism was proven to be overpowered. Despite its flaws, it’s still my fave SF game, but I can see why a lot of people think SFA2 is better.
